could one semi-automate their monotub by making two inch holes wither side then filling the holes with polyfil then placing a fan over one hole and make it blow into the tub(or out?). im talking about a small fan here around 35cfm to have a constant FAE, i dont know if this might drop the RH to much, if it does a smaller hole can be used lol.

if your gonna be drilling holes and pumping air in, why not just buy a cheap humidifier. constant FAE and won't drop your RH

Placing even a small fan on the side of your tub and forcing air through will drop the humidity. A properly built mono-tub is already automated when it comes to FAE. The only improvement would be to just make sure the air inside of the room is circulating some how.

I agree, the point of a mono tun is a self contained environment.

You are looking more for a green house in a box, all you need is a humidifier that can be purchased for $3 or less at the good will, a 4 Wat night light and a few timers. Works great for me.
