cool. i'm very interested in the teams page...
one of the most interesting thing i've noticed while lucid dreaming is every so often something takes control of the dream and then communicates to me.

I think some of the meds I take make me have some of the weirdest lucid dreams, But I can never make the dreams, start taking a different turn, the last one, was last Saturday night. They just seem too stay on the couse, they start. Can you,ll, make yours go off into other thoughts?

at the begining of my learning lucid dreaming i would have series of dreams that were like choose your own adventure books. i would have to keep going back to the begining again, but like i could choose door number 2 instead of door number 1. over and over and over.

I always try weird shit, like bring things, like werewolves, or other things in, but it never works for me. I have wondered what it would be like to have one of those closed chambers, to sleep in.

lol well what it would be like, is you'd wake up, and you'd better make damn sure that werewolf is your pet!
and for control it really depends, this morning i couldn't control anything at all for some reason. sometimes i can do things quite well.
it's possible i was in the etheric plane where things can't be messed with too much (though not being able to transport where i wanted to go did not make much sense).... or it might be that my mind was trying to teach me a lesson about control.

usually, these kind of dreams happen to me, after spending the night/ early morning, up watching movies. I wouldnt be surprised if one dosent happen tonight. I just think I dont have what every it is, to turn the dreams, into the direction I want them to go.

Its hard to get lucid in dreams. I normally lucid dream when I wake up for no apparent reason in the middle of the night, and then go back to sleep. Since I far asleep so quickly I am lucid. But I have always had good dream recall. I have always been able to remember atleast 1 dream a night. Sometimes I'll remember 5 or 6. But who wants to? Overkill Edit: o.. and my dreams normally continue from where they just where when I go back to sleep, from waking.

well, we have influence over our chemicals you know?
you can do it. you just have to learn how your brain operates. if it doesn't want you to, then you can learn other things from your lucid dreams. but try and compromise with it, ask it to give you some free control dreams, and some dreams where you go along with the flow.
i'll tell you one neat thing.
you have the open air in front of you right? no. step up into the air and climb it like a stairway. even though there is no stairway there. press your foot down onto the ground, even though it's in the air, and climb the air.
it requires no imagination and it is a tactile thing, so it should be easy for your brain to load. you know what cimbing stairs is like, climb them into the sky!
i'll tell you the other thing.
spin in circles.... spin spin spin spin saying "I am in Amsterdam. I am in Amsterdam. I am in Amsterdam"
there's a lot to say on spinning but i'm straining my wrists, do a google on laberge, spinning
it basically activates parts of your brain, helping you stay in the dream, but also once you spin the dream becomes a mess of nonsense, so you can put it back together how you'd like.
take me as an authority that it works if you don't trust your subconscious to come through.
even i have limitations (not that i'm some dream God lol!) but hey you can learn the interface and work with your brain. its YOUR brain afterall.

I had a dream start last night, and I remembered, some of the things you said. So I tried them, and I woke up and started a journal to write them down. Tonight was kind of scary.

yeah tonight was for me too.
i have great recall but not so much lucidity lately. i was watching some south park episode that i found objectionable but also felt kind of compelled to pay attention to. and somehow this led to me warping 40 miles away to campus where my friend wanted me to do fireworks (which was alluded to in the south park episode's title but i didn't realize til i woke up) so we were setting off firecrackers indoors.
then he randomly had to go away to take a test for 3 hours.
so i was sitting around looking at the objects in this room and a tv turned on with the music from the Shining by Bartok, and it was about Freddy Krueger.
I turned it off.
well though. it hit me. wtf is going on. I did a reality check and all evidence was in favor of dreaming. but this was a really hard fact for me to process, that I was dreaming right now.
well.
a tv appeared in front of me with the movie resuming.
so i did more reality checks and ran out the room.
i took flight "away" from mr Krueger while realizing that everywhere you go in a dream is essentially the same place, and that he is a construct of your psyche that cannot be run from.
a police car took off as i was gaining altitude abot the trees and powerlines.
then even though i concluded he couldn't fly, he was in the sky anyway. i blocked him with my hands and tried to shoot him with an imaginary gun, then he drove his hand into the right side of my chest, pulled something out which i assumed to be my "heart" (even though i knew the heart was on the other side) then he put it back in and i woke up.
man i don't like that guy. you don't want to see him just because of the dream association he has. i can control him though but .... i dunno.
then i stayed up for 20 minutes so that i could get my brainwaves right to go back to dreaming, and I did, but I wasn't really lucid. i was now in my friends dorm room waiting for him. messing with the tv.
