Stay off the Vino & Bud, when inoculating.

2 days ago, I inoculated 10 bags (containing 6 quarts wbs each) with LC.
Today, I checked on their progress.

I just spray the LC around the inside edges & over the surface of the bag content. So, I can see how colonization is going. At around 15/20% visible colonization coverage, I give the bags a gentle massage to mix the content. Then, let them go to 100%, without any further ado.
Anyway, 9 of the 10 bags are doing fine, example above.
One, has utterly NO colonization.
Which puzzled me.
Upon close inspection, I discovered there was NO INJECTION SITE on that bag.
Meaning, I never injected it.
The moral being, don't drink Chablis, toke a few bowls AND think you covered all the bases.

Not vine---Vino(wine), and she said that it was Chablis.
I'm just glad that was the only problem...When I read the title I thought there might have been a puncture wound or similar!!
Stay safe and smart everyone!!

thats a real good way to cause an accident that not only puts yourself and your belongings at risk, but can get the attention of emergency personell who are going to be curious why you were cooking odd looking bags filled with rye berries in the first place.
don't drink and cultivate

Har, har, har! I've done that myself before, way too many times. Much brain power has been wasted straining to understand something with a reason as obvious as that. It's so funny when you realize the cause.
You should publish this in the new science journal "Doh!".
I just read a tidbit from it's medical science sister journal "DUH!". I laughed pretty hard at this so I'll post it.
Wednesday, June 28, 2006 From the new medical journal, DUH!
"Not to be Ms. Obvious here, but a public service announcement: it's not a brilliant idea to get permanent body art while sitting on a park bench, from a guy with lesions on their hands who uses a guitar string tattoo needle and takes his ink out of a printer cartridge."
The sad part is, of course, some people do need to be told this. posted by William the Coroner
