Oysters and fungus gnats

I'm thinking of putting some oyster substrate outside and letting them fruit there.  If my reishi experience is any guide, I'm guessing they're going to have loads of fungus gnats around them.  How vulnerable are oysters to fungus gnats?  I really don't know how to fend off the little bastards.

Well, I can say I don't have much outdoor experience with Oyster's until recently. The Oyster mycelium I planted on a stump is ripping through the soil I put on top of the spawn for protection. There's a rich Oyster smell comming from this mycelium, yet I don't see any problems with insects as of now. The occassional ant here and there, but no gnats. I'd think planting the spawn somewhere outside that gets plenty wind and isn't an area that continuously holds moisture would be perfect.
