Abnormal Fruit Growth * 1
    #5877441 - 07/19/06 11:47 AM (17 years, 6 months ago)

My z-strain mushrooms have recently entered the fruiting stage and have produced some very abnormal fruits. I know that shroom growth can be unpredictable, but I have never really seen anything like this. Any ideas as to what could have caused these shrooms to grow this way?; the majority seem to be perfectly normal. But more importantly, are these still edible, and if not, how does that affect the other shrooms growing from the same casing?

by the way, mutant fruits also grew off of a PF style cake that I grew seperatley, but from the same syringe.

They are perfectly fine to eat. they are most likely mutants from coming in contact with a disinfectant like Lysol.

Those aren't mutants. They're perfectly normal mushrooms.

shrooms that have merging stems don't seem normal to me.

second picture down, middle shroom. That cap is the definition of a cap. It's not mutant in any way.
