so saturday night,the wife and i headed out to see it..of course i dropped 3 hit of some potent white unperfed :eek:..what a mind blowing night...that movie rocked..Linklater stayed really true to the book i thought..when i was walking out i was out of my mind..it looked as though most of the pepople in attendence were also tripping ..lol..i highly recomend this one on acid or mushrooms :wink: :thumbup:

awesome! im going to see it for free this friday! i cant wait. i wont be tripping, but i will be blitzed. looks like a great film. im surprised theres not more attention around it.

i personally thought that movie sucked. it was so boring. i almost walked out. i certainly couldn't imagine what i would have done if i were tripping when i saw it. probably killed myself.

Not sure how you could compare the two. Same visual, different everythign else.

I thought the visuals were different than waking life, less dreamy, or more realistic. Shit didn't move around as much. But I thought it was an alright movie, not as good as waking life, but just average.

Saw it completely sober and thought it was a great movie. Something good for once being played in the theatres.

I saw it Saturday night too. It was one of trippiest movies I've ever seen since the CGI Final Fantasy movie back in 2001. I was sober, but I'm definately purchasing the DVD for future psychedelic sessions. Not only was the movie a visual delight, coupled with the story line the whole thing is an absolute work of art.

It's worth seeing but not as good as Waking Life. I felt like Waking Life actually had a message to a lot of it and I'm sure it's responsible for a lot of lucid dreamers. A Scanner Darkly is more a look at what tweakers act like.
