Animals that Eat Crickets
There are three basic sizes of crickets: pinhead (newborn), small, and large (adult). Smaller animals eat the smaller sizes. The larger the animal, the further down this list they can go for food choices.
P = pinheads- from about 2 mm at birth to 9 mm or so S = small crickets - from about 1 to 2 cm L = large crickets - from about 2 to 4 cm (not including ovipositor; females are larger)
The following are some of the animals that will eat crickets. Some of these animals have no problem going for live crickets while others require the slower dead crickets.
Birds: Chickens, turkeys, guinea fowl, peafowl, quail, chukar, pheasant, bluebirds, songbirds, and well most birds!
Mammals: Hedgehogs, shrews, moles, voles, bats, rats, and other mammals that eat insects.
Reptiles: Aquatic turtles of all sorts, box turtles, tortoises, sailfin lizards, chameleons, fringe-toed lizards, basilisks, water dragons, anoles, and well most reptiles that eat bugs!
Amphibians: Frogs, toads, newts, and salamanders of all sorts!
Fish: Archers, goldfish, piranha, arrowana, and any big fish that eats bug meat!

I thought I would suggest it. It's not too absurd, really. Do you live in an apartment or something that prohibits animals? Utilizing the Food Chain technique would probably be my desired course of action, or maybe just co-existing with them. I know they can be awfully noisy though.
And it'd be an excellent conversation piece too.
"What's that?"
"Oh, that's just the bats, rats, piranhas and salamanders I've placed in every room around the house to resolve the cricket problem..."

Do you know how they're getting in?
Quote:
The first step in cricket control is to check around the outside of your home and caulk or repair cracks and other spaces you find that may allow crickets to get inside. Look carefully around your home's foundation, doors and ground-level windows.
You can discourage crickets from entering your home by keeping nearby weeds and grass cut short and by removing piles or stacks of wood, brush, bricks and similar objects that are close to your house. This minimizes their hiding places and reduces the number of crickets that get inside.
If they get inside, don't reach for the aerosol insecticide. You can easily catch crickets by placing sticky glue boards (available at hardware stores, usually for mouse control) in corners of the room. Within a day or two, your crickets will be caught in the glue board.
If you've got a chirping cricket inside the house, pour a small amount of cornmeal in the center of a glue board and place it near where you hear the chirping sound. Within a day or two, you should have gotten your cricket.

Well I'm pretty sure they can just crawl under our door space. The exterior of the house has a rock lawn and I think thats where they come from.
Did i mention I have a bit of an insect phobia (laugh all you want). Thats the problem with the coexisting part Snorkel

I've had two cats, both of them ate crickets whenever they could catch them.
