F A E and Cool Mist

I've read some posts on hear that claim a cool mist humidifier is also good for Fresh Air Exchange. And I've also read other posts that claim it is not. Does utilizing the cool mist also provide the ability to count on it for air exchange as well as humidity?

I wouldn't imagine a single cool mist would provide near the amount of FAE, fanning is the best source.

Depends on what your setup is... If it's a pmp, then yes, it's enough. If you're doing a bigger grow or a martha, then no, you'd need a few of them.
Do the math, in a PMP, or similar setup, you have a fish tank pump going, that puts out a lot less air than a cool mist humidifier.
Anyways, maybe if you posted what kind of fruiting chamber setup you have, someone else will be able to answer your question correctly.

A cool mist moves a lot of air, but I feel they're best suited for humidity rather than air exchange. Run one in a martha for humidity, then just cut some slits in the sides, or even leave the door loose for constant air exchange. RR

Put the coolmist inside and that won't happen. You still want the greenhouse open though. The more openings the better as long as you can maintain humidity. RR

Im going ot go with the timer you're using in a few weeks and move the cool mist inside.. Wife's already been riding me on cash spent so far so the badass timer will have to wait just a little. I think mainly because she hasn't seen any results yet (no patience). soon enough though. With the front zipper undone about a foot i maintain right at about 85-90%.

and once you fill it with casings, the humidity will be easier to maintain. its hard to keep an emty martha at high humidity (unless or course you do it like RR)

that's a really good deal but alas the same problem arises. It won't do short cycles. i have found a few others that have 15 minutee intervals but i want even shorter intervals.. Good lookin out though..

Read the ad. ----->15 minute intervals
4 per hour X 24 = 96
96 off/on pins around the dial. Each one is for 15 minutes.

Oh damn alright since you put it that way it makes sense. I'm just used to using those timers with te little pins that you stick in them to control the on/off cycle

They are built into the dial.
They are SMALL.
You have to set them with a toothpick. Or, the point of a pen.
Other than that, this timer is KILLER, for the price.
