H-Poo replacements?

My friend and I were wondering if there were any nice alternatives to H-Poo that were decent enough to spawn into before casing. I might have made a few extra batches than I can handle with the Hpooh I currently have. We are trying to look for a quick local alternative that will work in a bind. The cakes are WBS cakes, can they fruit in a bag on their own if I have no choice?

coir. very similar (if not a tiny bit better) moisture retention, great consistency, nutritous and delicious.
you can even give it a nitrogen boost by tossing in a few spoonfuls of used coffee grounds (or hydrate the coir with dilute coffee water), and a pinch of gypsum to pH balance the acidity.
although poo lovers would call it blasphemy, i prefer coir to poo

it rehydrates quickly too, through the magic of dunking!
its moisture levels can be maintained with good casing misting practices... water delivery is key no matter what, you might have to pay a little more attention with a coir substrate but no biggie. the fact that it gives up its moisture so easily means good size rapidly growing fruits. not a bad thing if you ask me!
careful you don't overwet it though when you first prepare it, or it will not colonize, and will fall to some stinky ass bacteria... they also love the coir.
