Wats up everyone? I need some help on a few questions i am having bout growing me some shrooms. this is my first time growing and wish to do it outside for the simple fact they r children in the house. Ok, with that said i got the spores off the last shrooms i ate a few months back. i was wondering what to grow them on outside. one of my friends said i could juss put the spores on some cow shit and they would grow. But what i would like to know is if it would work and if so what do i need to do to them besides juss puttin them on the cow shit. but ne advice on how to grow them out side would be wonderfull. By the way im sure it would be usefull for someone to help me if they knew the climate around here, i live in north carolina, it get up to and around 100 degrees all week and usually doesnt rain very often, maybe once or twice a week if at all. if u need ne other information that will help you help me then plz feel free to ask! thank everyone for there time and help!

first off, what strain do you have? Generally a woodlooving strain like P. Azures is what you will want to use...

I saw a pretty cool grow log someplace in which cardboard boxes were filled with a bulk substrate, cased with some straw, and pretty much left in the woods. The grower got nice results. But you need to learn some basic skills: spore prints, syringes, the nature and characteristics of mycelium, many beginner teks. Mushrooms come from nature, and outdoor grows can be successful; however, you will get much better yields indoors--where you can control environmental factors. GL.
