Who gives a shit about what others think, use them for whatever you want. Noone uses drugs for a neutral reason, its because they are getting something positive out of it, anyone that tells you different is trying to sell you something.

and you know, I think that there is alot of benifit to be had out of 'simply a good time' anyways.
Going out with friends, laughing, bonding - creating closer connections with them. Stress release, getting some physical activity (how many people end up going for LONG hikes when they normally dont do much otherwise?), dancing. Theres been many times after a good mush trip that was 'just for fun', has left me with some insight and a mood lift for the days to follow.

This whole thing reminds me of what's written on the sleeve of Shpongle's "Tales of the Inexpressible"
"Your body is a nightclub as well as a temple"
During my last trip I stood watching reality inflate till it burst, laughing my arse off. Gurus and also buddhists (I'm a Zen buddhist btw) spend a lot of time laughing - sometimes my deep meditation is broken up by spontaeous laughter.
Reality's a funny thing.
Spirituality is fun...
...fun can be deeply spiritual
It's all in how you look at it & up to the individual what they make of their experiences - however they want to define them.
-------------------- "You've got to get hold of the thread of marching time, pull the fuck thing down, get on the end of it and pang yourself to the infinitude of absolute mind" Ken Campbell - Furtive Nudist "The mystery of life is not a problem to be solved but a reality to be experienced" - Aart van der Leeuw

I think there is a time and place for tripping. However,if tripping wasn't fun or for HAVING fun I probably wouldn't do it.
Obviously most feel it has much more meaning than just a way to have "fun"

Do you think that it is okay to trip purely for fun at any point in time?
