I saw it at a independent film theater in Dallas. It is about as legitimate of an adaptation of a Philip K. Dick novel that you could ask for
A+

I'm a dickhead myself (A Philip K. Dick fan) and I have a sneaking suspision that Scanner WILL be the most accurate PKD movie adaptation yet. Bladerunner, while being one of the best sci-fi movies ever made, bears very little resemblance to the story he penned (Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?).
And if you want to know what's been released, VCDQuality.com is clutch.

Saw it last night. It was very, very good. It is definitely the best Dick adaptation yet. Films like Blade Runner and Minority Report were very good from the sci-fi perspective, but Darkly gets Dick's imagination and emotion right as well.
People, pleeeeease quit asking for a torrent. This is an excellent film, and a very expensive one for Linklater et al to make, and they deserve the money. See it in an indie theater and you won't have to watch Coke commercials beforehand.

They aren't playing it in my city. I'm going to have to wait until it comes out on video.
