I said "All of the above," but mainly, I'd say Hezbollah and Israel.

Yes, they're ultimately responsible for most of the problems in the Middle East today, but since he was talking specifically about the current conflict, I picked the ones who are directly involved in it.

PLEASE DO NOT READ THIS POST UNTIL YOU HAVE VOTED

This same question was asked by Al-Jazeera and answered by 31.927 of their viewers, from mostly the Middle East. Their viewers voted thus:

Who do you think is mainly to blame for the current Middle East crisis?

a. Hezbollah - 21%
b. Iran and Syria - 17%
c. Israel - 34%
d. Lebanon - 0%
e. United States - 14%
f. All of the above - 13%
g. None of the above - 1%

Because we seldom if ever get to hear viewpoints from the Arab world I thought it would be a good idea to take this poll to PA&L so we can compare our america-centric politics forum vote with those of an middleeast-centric audience.

Discuss!

Most people love Hezbollah in the Middle East.

I have not voted yet, because I am unsure about Israel or U.S.

I'd like to be able to vote for mutliples?

I think Israel, Hezbollah and the US are all relatively equally to blame.

Obviously Hezbollah should not be launching rockets at Israel or kidnapping soldiers. Israel should not be invading and destroying sovereign nations, nor destroying civilian infrastructures like power plants and such. The US is culpable for doing NOTHING. Israel would not be doing what its doing w/out at least at tacit acknowledgement from the US that we wouldnt intervene.

Israel.

I Can't think of another country which has waged all out war for the kidnapping of 3 soldiers. They could have just exchanged some prisoners to get theirs back, alive and well. But because of their arrogance, they will lose dozens, if not hundreds of soldiers.

If this does turn into an all out war, thousands of lives will be lost, for these 3 Israelis.

ISrael, mostly. It's so funny how the news runs. I'm watching the NBC news right now and it's clip after clip of how bad Israeli s having it. Oy Vey! A missile landed on my delicatessen and killed two people! Oy vey!

Then it says "Oh yea, the Isrealies blew up some bridges, hospitals and factories"

HOSPITALS? That would be terrorism, were the media masters not rabidly Zionist Jews.

So what you have to ask yourself is, is WW3 on the way because of 3 kidnapped soldiers, or is it part of some greater plan, and these soldiers were just an excuse to kick things off.

I think Israel is getting very worried about Iran, and with nobody doing anything, they are gonna get the ball rolling themselves.

For fuck sake, can't you see that the fucking Arabs and Iranians are seething over these retards. Iran and the puppet Syria are really put on a spot they didn't want to be in, and with good reason. What kind of nuclear delaying bullshit do you think the mad mullahs can bring now? And as for them actually sending troops?????? Please. Send all of them. We can absolutely blow them to bits without ever using one infantryman. We need infantry to occupy. To blow their entire army to bits all we need is airforce. Whack a mole. Easy whack a mole. Check a map. They would have to march through Iraq. They aint going nowhere. And if they do, good. Because they will be mowed down like little baby rabbits in the tall grass.
