Blacked Out.

Last night I had one beer, and 3 or 4 glasses of bacardi and orange juice. I woke up this morning in my bed with NO IDEA of how I got into my bed, and whatever became of the company I had over. This has happened before but my memory usually starts to come back to me after being awake a couple of hours. I drink often and when I do, I drink quite a bit more then I did last night. I have blacked out before but never on such a small amount of alcohol. Does anyone know what causes these "black outs" and why when I really did not have that much to drink, I have experienced the worst one to date.

man alcohol is a lousy drug.
you ought to do weed or just the occasional psychedelic instead.
it's a poison!

Ha ha, IMO thats bullshit, I have never heard of any alcoholics having suffering this problem.
I drink often, the more excessively I drink, the harder it becomes to get intoxicated on a daily basis. There could be many reasons for the black outs, such as low blood-sugar, medication , food consumption or even exhaustion.

I agree with Mushie_man, still... I would consult a doctor if I were you. It seems like it is a problem (otherwise you wouldnt have posted). Since no one here can say for sure what the problem is, your best bet is a local doctor in your area.

I am going to the doctor this afternoon. I have decided to stop drinking for while. That really scared me. Maybe it was my body kinda saying "enough is enough". Thanks everyone.

Actually thats not true. Major alcoholics (many many years) will get to the point where one drink will have them stumbling and slurring words. A man in an AA meeting I attended was that way, in his 70s, drinking his entire life.

I get blackouts every once in a while, no big deal.
