Lol.. try catching an oriental cockroach (aka waterbug) while tripping!

I have a fear of 6 legged insects too.....

Spiders eat them, spiders are better than great to have around.

Dogs just don't do it for me.. and that one just looks so peacefull and relaxed.....

This is Sly. He has been gone for a few years, but was an awesome pet.

Very nice chameleon. Panther? Sorry it's gone.

I kept a Flapneck/Senegal for about 6 months but the little guy proved to be too demanding and died. I wish Chameleons weren't so hard to keep :frown:

Nice to see some other people here keep weird pets like I do. Very nice Rose Hair Tarantula. Is it very social?

I used to keep a Mexican Red Knee and a Curly Hair. The Curly hair was cool with being held but the Red Knee would kick hairs off like crazy. Luckly the hairs never bothered me. I bet if it was bigger(it was a spiderling) my nose and eyes would have been destroyed.

she doesn't kick/bite/hiss, but normally runs the other way when I put my hand in front of her, but I can coax her out when my anxiety isn't to bad   I actually haven't held her in 3 years... I should do that one of these days.  I have no clue how old she is, she was the same size when I got her, and the person who had her before me had had her for at least 2 years, so I'm hoping I still have another 5-10 years.

I had a theraphosa Blondi at one point, but it ended up being forgotten in a depression, and I accidentally let its cage dry out, and it dried out as well :frown:  It was a mean bugger in the first place, nothing but hair kicking, and hissing... I didn't know tarantulas could hiss till I had that one, it freaked me the fuck out... so I kept making it do it till the novelty wore off.
I had actually planned on getting a glass top coffee table and making a terrarium out of it for the t. Blondi.  Thought it'd be a great conversation piece in my living room. Just imagine guest sits drink down, spider darts to other side of cage, guest shits pants at the 9"+ arachnid.

I used to keep (17)snakes as well, but that was in less depressed times and I could actually care for them.

LOL! That's a good idea keeping T. blondi on a coffee table. There would be many screams of girls coming from my house if I did that. "HOLY FUCK THAT SPIDER IS GIGANTIC!"

Of course A Bird Eater was agressive, they're notorious for that. I'd never try to hold a Bird Eater, but I'd love to keep one. It'd be cool to be able to say one of your pets is the biggest spider in the world. The frog I keep is the 2nd largest frog in the world

Hey.. I thought it looked scary!!! it was growling or yawning at me or something lol, the pic was a bit over exposed tho, so I coulden't tell, take a clearer picture? (not trying to sound rude, altho this may read that way)

Gumby, what kinda froggy you got? Some froggys eat insects too.. froggys good.

I would have never tried holding my t. Blondi, not even sure once it got huge how I'd manage to clean its cage... seems like an anxiety filled feat to me.

I was thinking like the newbie herpers that buy retic's for their first snake.....awwww its cute, mean, and gets big....(up to 10' long in the first year alone, for reticulated pythons)

eidt: Went back a few pages and found Pierre, mmmmm

First, I would like to say that I doubt Toed owns that dog Riley.  I have seen that photo passed around the web for yrs.

Second, Brain's hamster Chewbacca... No wonder you keep it in a bag, hell, i'd keep it in a steel box with a lock.

Third, Gumby, those toads are so rad, I love odd and exotic animals.

Here is my Rat, her name was Stubbles, as well as a feeder pinky that my friend "saved" from his friends pet alligator...  Stubbles was a hairless rat, I found out shortly after from researching the phenotype, that hairlessness causes congenital organ failure, or immune deficiency, and a host of other issues.  :frown:  They are no longer with me.

That hound looks geneticaly built to look evil.

Heres my 13 yo shitzu (Tiger) who's attitude stinks and should be put down regarding some circumstances...but..he's family:

My pit/lab (Ginger) is on my digi so ill post pic tommorow. She's cute and eats flies...good to have around (very watchful and acts very protective) and very playful with a bit of brain damage (caused by lemon mold during her growth sprout) which leaves ppl to believe she's afraid of any thing thats alien permanently. She just progesses a small fraction slower than most dogs is all.

Very loving dog..only pinned (wouldn't say attacked) Tiger a few times after being bit on tender areas by Tiger. Its rare to see her resist after being bit. Meaning it happens so many times with the majority of it being just whimpers and ear nudges. So it takes a lot to get her dangerously angry. Even then its easy to get her to obey orders precisesly when told. A simple yell to break it up suffices. This is when she starts cowering under a yellow swinging bench we have all guilty looking as if she did something wrong.

Ginger wont physicaly harm the shitzu with life threating bites or neck shots. Matter of fact she's just more along the lines of being protective of her life. Easily being accomplished by just pinning the shitzu down and showing teeth and power so the little dog will yield, which he never has...damn my shitzu's a stubborn 'ol fool that lived with old grumps all his life leaving him a leg grabing virgin...must be rough.

P.S.

I truly love my dogs too much. Sympathy towards them is expressed too much IMO.
