Definitely not a weillii. Looks like it could be Amanita phalloides, the death cap. Which if you didn't guess by the name, will KILL YOU. So don't eat that mushroom. Do a search for weillii on these pages. Lots of excellent pictures and descriptions.

glad you're researching! We like inquisitive folk if they are willing to do their homework and pay attention, not a problem at all.

Oops, definitely not phalloides what with the striate margin at all. But still potentially poisonous. Keep searching for them weillii though man, people are finding them.

It does appear to be Amanita, what with the [apparently] free, white gills and brown cap, but there are several important Amanita sp. ID features missing, iago, so keep this in mind next time you find a shroom with white gills: Be sure to dig the mushroom all the way out of the ground, without breaking the stem. The volva (bulb-like base on some genre of mushrooms) is a very important ID feature for mushrooms with white gills. Also, if you could make a cross-section (cut the mushroom in half from cap to base), then we can see if the gills are in fact free from the stem. Other than that, other important ID notes are in the sticky thread on "how to give a proper description".
The cap appears hygrophanous, which is unusual in Amanita sp. .
[ANOTHER NOTE TO iago: Many species in the genus Amanita are poisonous or deadly, so there is a reason why we place such emphasis on making a correct ID with white-gilled mushrooms (FOOTNOTE: all species of Amanita have white gills and white spore prints)]
