Lack of a true tripping partner

Is it just me or does anyone else ever wish they could find a better tripping partner? I find that my friends simply don't see mushrooms or psychedelics in general in the same way I do and it makes it hard for me to want to trip with any of them. Does anyone else prefer to trip alone?

Hmm.. I'd want to have a friend close by, maybe a non-tripper just to make sure I dont go off the edge... oh well, we'll see.

the friend that I usually trip with does not see psychedelics hardly at all the way I do. We discuss not argue (if your reading this) about the differences we perceive them. Sometimes it's nice to have someone who agrees with you about them, but I enjoy the challenge he presents.

You have a very good point. In regards to discussing and arguing, I find a lot of my friends always want to argue with me when I simply want to discuss points.
Maybe what I really need is someone to trip with that better understands me and my personality. Often times I get agitated with people misunderstand me and react according to that perception.

My best friend and tripping partner just turned into a total narc. As of friday he won't trip with me because I was "aggressive" when we smoked weed the last time together. So I have to find a new tripping partner.

I used to trip with 2 other fellows constantly for a signifigant period of time. Most insightful, meaningful times of my life. I wish you luck in your search for your rider and hopefully I can find a new 'soulmate' too.

Trippin partners can very IMO, different friends will have different trips,
There can be funny ass trip, that everything cracks you up and those who crack u up
Then there are some not as funny trips, with those who want to get deep with the shroom, or adventurous
Then their those who want to push the limits and get all dramafied on it, which sucks when ur not equiped to handle the trip fully, but when its all said a done, ur like dam dog, that was some crazy shit,

capliberty you have some good points there. Perhaps I just need to be more open-minded about the whole thing and just be more careful with the people I choose to trip with.

i used to trip with friends all the time in my younger years..now i'd be very cautious and selective about who to trip with. i'd rather trip alone until i find someone i'm comfortable being around while under the influence. i take my trips much more 'seriously' now than i did almost a decade ago. i too am still trying to find a cool partner to chill with who can handle their psychedelics in a way i'd be comfortable being around.

for sure,.......... expectations can cause conflicts within your trip, just flow with it for what its worth, and I doubt you'll have any problems when with your CO trippers, I think the main thing is to realize everyones got their own version of whats going on, shrooms can be alittle intense at times so its hard to maintain composer, and if u do too many, its drama, no way around it, which makes that ur issue not anyone elses

SETTING IS EVERYTHING. i have eaten mushrooms in every possible scenario. i find i dont trip very hard when im doing it with people that arent tripping (just me)... its like a collective effort of energies. if they cant put their momentum behind the trip as well, it wont go nearly as far as if they were to join me.
i DO NOT eat mushrooms with certain people. this is just by prefernece, i always try to prepare my setting before i get going. A LOT of people suck at tripping, mainly because it reflects the Bullshit inside their head. They get caught in loops too easily and constanly sweat time, what to do next, and if theyre "feeling it yet/still". there is no reason to subject yourself in such a sensitve state to something so fucking madening, YOU IMPRINT EVERY TRIP IN YOUR MIND, what happens in some trips will stay with you forever. FOR ME, THIS IS A FORCE I WOULD RATHER NOT TAKE LIGHTLY.
but ive had a fucking blast everytime regardless.... by choice.

I need a tripping partners that doesn't act like a five year old and want to play with glow sticks all night. I also would like a trip sitter, because ever since my bad trip I have been afraid to let go. I liked the thumbprint thread, being in the hands of loving experienced companions would be great.

I love having a tripping partner as much as i love tripping alone. Really, i have always loved (and was lucky enough to enjoy) both of them scenarios in this life.

I'd love to find someone to trip with. I mean I've tripped with friends before but I've never tripped with anyone I'd ever have a specific desire to trip with. Everyone seems to be either too caught up with trying to process and understand the perception change that they forget to experience it (always going on about how things look like other things, talking about how much/little they're tripping, you know what I'm talking about when people just seem to be so caught up with the most obvious/pointless things and they just never seem to get past them).
I dunno, it just seems that everyone's more interested in the tree that looks like a squirrel than the constant synchronized flowing motion of the world around them as their sense of reality is weaved in with their thoughts to make a huge blanket that just wraps around their brain. I dunno, I'd like to find someone who has as much respect and appreciation for shrooms as I do, someone with an understanding of science (so after struggling to put my thoughts into words I don't have to explain them), and someone who doesn't just trip in nature because it gives them stuff to look at but also because of that special respect, connection, and sheer fascination it seems to inspire. Seems that what I'm stuck with is people who's rather "Drop a few grams, smoke a few blunts and just get FUCKED!". Generally this means I usually just trip alone, and not exactly feeling comfortable walking around in a big city on shrooms alone I'm usually stuck doing them at home (much as I like being in nature I have lots of animals/plants around me at home and the access to paint, instruments, etc seems to make up for it for the most part...

watching the dreaming sheep running on auto pilot while sitting on the fence with someone else can be a riot.
then again. it has to be the world.
I mean the trip partner really is the whole world you cantrip into the world that is
making mini groupettes or mutual admiration societies on the side, even just of 2 people, makes you miss so much of the underlying fun that is integral - except for the watching of the sheep part...

for a long time now it doesn't seem to make much differnce who i'm around while tripping. other poeple do not effect my trips unless they're buggin out and i'm in a confined space (which i wouldn't do).
i tend to wander around alone alot on my trips.
