Resolving drips
    #5865864 - 07/16/06 03:17 PM (17 years, 6 months ago)

I'm coming to find out.

FAE & Rh can be troublesome to fine tune.

I'm using this old boy for that purpose.

While this impeller driven humidifier moves a perfect volume of FAE.
It throws out mist, like a spray paint gun.

Mist would condense inside the distribution manifold.

Then, DRIP OUT of the holes.

Not such a big deal, except if it drips into substrate trays.

Which, can/will over-saturate them. :mad2:

Resolution:

Remove cap, install elbow, with a drain tube.

Then RECYCLE it.

Drain tube runs into a small wick type fan humidifier below.

If you do this, it is wise to wash the wick out, every couple days.
Then, microwave the wick steaming hot, to sanitize it.

Wick types are not recommended, as they are a bacterial breeding ground.

Not so, if you keep it clean.

Having both, also serves to circulate FAE/Rh better.
