 nice day for a garden

Doing well here with the lithops. I try to put up an umbrella when it rains, but my drainage is pretty good and they seem to be thriving. one i even pulled out and ripped the bottom off, it molded and yet STILL rooted and recovered. evrybody says they are a pain to keep alive. I think the only trick is to plant them in rocky sand and avoid watering them at all if you can. Its harder NOT to water them.
Im about to go for a guided tour of Sunrise Cactus Gardens in Keremeos BC. Canadas largest cacti collection, AND a nursery. wonder what i will find/buy, I will post pics of the wonders that await. I expect that garden of mine will be much different from this day sooth.

heres my new aquisitions. I had a great time and will post them tomorrow when i have the upload refresh. They had a 5 ft trunk of t, pachanoi sitting out back and i wanted to buy it to make cuttings, The lady has simmilar motives so i managed to snag a 6 inch cutting for $6 i put it with the poor peruvian cutting i nearly killed in an elongate planter with cactus soil, im adding gravly sand later
without further ado.

thats a trichocereus bridgesii cutting, specially cut for me. and a tiny lanky san pedro for my mini cacti patch.
AND A TEASE FOR TOMORROW
woot, thats L, williamsii BTW. they also had l. lutea and diffusa.

Looking good! I'll see if I can get some pictures of my cacti up tomorrow. I'm a big fan of cacti and succulents.
-------------------- The story goes, or the way that I was told There was a king that always felt too high and then he fell too low And so he called all the wise men to the hall And begged them for a gift to end the rises and the falls But here’s the thing, they came back with a ring It was simple and was plainly unbefitting of a king Engraved in black, it had no front or back But there were words around the band that said Just know: This Too Shall Pass

some pics from my trip im a little low on cash flow since my wife fell down the basement steps and can't work. but once were back on our feet (ho ho ho) I will be out to do some shopping, starting with that 3 ft T bridgesii monstrose. most available for sale are pretty rough, but ought to make decent for cutting stock. The nice ones are part of the collection and not for sale.

Have more, but thats the upload limit today.
