I really should be more alert, that was like the 3rd time the top had been burned. As long as it doesn't go hermie from the stress, and I end up getting some good weed I'll be happy.

DAY 25 of 12/12
The plants are doing well and there have been no major setbacks lately. The buds continue to grow and both plants look healthy except for what look to be some minor signs of nutrient lockup due to the soil being to acidic(rust colored spots and slight browning of the leaf margins). To remedy this I watered each plant with a half a gallon of water with 1 tbsp garden lime dissolved in the gallon.
I haven't fertilized in a while and I'll wait until the problems with the pH are corrected to resume feeding with the bloom ferts.
The whole setup:

The top of the younger plant:

The top of a branch on the younger plant:

The top of a branch on the older plant:

Thanks. I sure am looking forward to harvest. Today is day 29 of 12/12 so hopefully they'll be coming down in about 4 weeks. It sure will be nice to have a good deal of high quality weed at one time, but I'm really looking forward to making some hash, as I've only ever had small amounts up until this point.

Twister said: Thanks for the suggestion but I don't have the space, money, or ventilation for HPS. When I move into a place that's bigger than a 1br apartment I'll upgrade to HID, if I'm still growing, but its just impractical at the moment. Plenty of people over at cannabis.com have achieved very respectable yields from compact fluorescents; nothing like whats possible from HID's but I'm just looking for a personal stash of high quality bud. Not to mention, electricity's cheap so its not too big of a deal.

Wonderful.
Try to get some better genetics, and you'll get better plants.

great grow dude, seriously. thanks for keeping us posted on your status man. those plants are looking decent. i doubt the older plant is stressin too bad man. i have seen worse stressed fems make it out okay.
they look very good for the poor genetics you are probably working with (only an assumption) bagseed grow worked for me when I did it, which was a long long long time ago. i never tried an indoor grow. always thought i would but i got outta cultivation before i ever tried it.

I'm planning on it, I just have to raise the funds. I'll probably just sell a bit of this harvest to get the money for some better seeds.
DAY 34 of 12/12 I unfortunately had to cut down the older plant. It was lagging behind the younger plant in the bud production department and the room in the cabinet had simply run out. There was no way to position the lights or tie down the plants in a manner which would keep the tops from being burned, but still allowing them to get light. So I cut it down, and now all of the lights are on the younger plant and its looking good. Since I cut the older one down the buds seem to have doubled in size, and it's only been a week. I'll put some pictures up sometime soon.
