I sold all my growing gear a while back. So i dont have a pressure cooker at the moment. What is a good(max harvest) substrate that doesnt need to be sterilised with a pressure cooker?
any help would be much apreciated.

I recently saw a microwave tek, search for it on the posts search.
I don't know how well it worked, but some others tried it as well I guess, few pages of posts if I remember correctly.

ps -you could always do whatever process you want and pasteurize it on the stove top with a large pot.

Yeah i know a few other options for steralisation.
What I wanna know is: What substrates are easy to steralise(like BRF and unlike WBS) yet dont lack too much with harvest and potency.

Ok well, what about getting a PC used?
I found one 16qt mirro (good brand) with everything to it, barely used for $20/$25.oo
Look online, if you're in the states craigslist.org, frecycles, ebay even and don't forget local shops: the dollar stores, clearances at major stores etc

you dont need a PC. all you need is a pot with a lid. you dont even need a lid use a plate that fits over the top. out of hundreds of jars i have had one crack and i have had 3 con tam. not bad . if you realy want to be safe you can buy a canner they have them at my local hardware store . it is a black pot with a lid . they come in all sizes. it has a metal rack in it just like a PC. and if you have a oven then you can do the h/poo in there with a 2 dollar meat thermometer from walmart. thx and good luck

But you DO need a PC with grain substrates, from what I've heard. I'd like to try doing grains one day without it, but i doubt that'd work or people would have been doing it a long time.

you dont need a pressure cookes for grain i did a grain jar this way and it is comming out fine almost ready to spawn.also when i put the plate on the pot i will put something for weight on it like pint jar with water. and it takes a good 10 psi just to let steem out. gool luck

More bad advice from royer. Grains DO need to be sterilized. And no, you're not getting 10 psi in a pot.

Why are you talking about sterilizing your Hpoo or other sub.......you pasturize those not sterilize...all you need for pas. is a stove and a pot with thermometer.
As for spawn, try fractional sterilization.
