That does sound trippy. Maybe you had a false awakening, like you thought you woke up but you were really still asleep.
Anyway, the fact is it was just a dream, no matter how intense it seemed. Go back there tonight and try to figure out what's going on. Sounds like you may have just hit the tip of the iceburg.

I dont think that lucid dreaming can cause psychosis, but i've heard many people who strictly believe otherwise. Theres actually a movie about a man who see's this portrait of a woman he falls in love with who is actually like 60 years in the past, so he meets this guy who says he knows how to travel back in time. The time travel is to convince your mind before you go to sleep that you will be going back in time, so the guy does that and he falls asleep and enters this world which is 60 years in the past. In the end of the movie you find out that the man died from loss of breathing because he was in that dream state for so long.
Things like that go along with psychosis for me in that they just seem too far fetched.
