Alright. So while I was walking in my backyard, I stumbled across this mushroom ive never seen before. its discription is like so..:
Yellow cap looks like an umbrella, stem is yellow, and the top has brown specks. The gills are pretty much the same color as the ca. I Cannot take a picture at this time, but I can post a paint picture.... the stem isnt quite that bright.. but still.

It was actually found in a flower pot in my backyard, so, if that helps with further identification

Wow! This is the first time I have seen a paint image! That's so cool! and it is a good rendition considering how crappy paint is!
I'm thinking perhaps Mycena or Hygrocybe... The shape also resembles a Conocybe, but the colours are all off.
The drawing depicts a striate cap, which makes me think Mycena.
Lemme see if I can dig up some pics...

Conocybe lactea

Hygrocybe Conica

Hygrocybe singeri

Mycena strobilinoides

Mycena leaiana

Any seeming matches?

Probably Leucocoprinus birnbaumii . They are very common in potted plants.
Nice drawing.

Those are some pretty mushrooms Dan! I think I recall an ID request a few months back for the same mushroom in a potted plant.
::shakes head:: So much to consider in IDing without photos

The key is the flower pot and the gills being the same yellow as the cap. I found my first bunch of these a couple of weeks ago in some big planters at an outdoor mall. They were so cool looking. I think that this mushroom was formerly known as Lepiota lutea.

Brilliant job on the drawing by the way, very nice.

I agree with Leucocoprinus birnbaumii.. it's one of the most commonly found mushrooms in potted plants.

Thanks guys. Yeah, though I find it easy to draw on paint xP because, i draw on it everyday, oh well.
It only took me like 3 minutes to do it too.
But yeah, thanks, and also xmush, those are the exact ones that I have, and they are pretty and also a bit unique.
