Iran vs USA

This scirmish in the middle east is looking more like an Iran vs US battle as tensions grow and word of the Hezbollah missles being guided by top Iranian soldiers comes out. The US has already given their side (backing Israel) and clearly Iran is on the opposite.
Anyone else alitle nervous about this?

While I disagree with you on almost everything, I agree with you here. I'd rather trust Israel with the bomb than a lunatic Persian president who once said "The world is gonna end in a few years anyway"

I'm actually persian. I'd rather you have said a persian lunatic president, because the way you said it makes me think more of the whole persian society as being lunatic. A mass generalization. But i really dont think you meant for it to mean that much and i'm just taking it way too seriously.
It does concern me in the fact that i have family living there, and also I am peace loving and really do not want to see war. I hope nothing happens in the next few years so we have a better president to take care of the problem.

sure, who wouldn't be nervous. It's no secret that the US doesn't like Iran and vica versa. Memories of the hostages are still strong.

I'm sure the world is gonna end in a few years. What's so crazy about that? It's inevitable, look at our politicians.

Nope, but many rapture believers are willing to risk nuclear war in order to ensure it happens.

We should have written off our hostages and nuked Tehran.

I don't know about nuking because that would not have been neccesary but he's right. Iran should have been destroyed in 1979, within two weeks of the hostage thing. The only reason it didn't happen is because the country was so fucking stupefied by Vietnam and Watergate that the people elected an utter cunt to the presidency. They might actually have rallied if that fag had any stones but they got another embarrassment instead, a half (more like eighth) measure that failed. Carter and Clinton, brothers in (half-assed) arms.

Considering the success dubya has had tripling oil prices by letting bin laden off the hook to go after saddam, just think of the money his family can make if he goes after Iran as well. Ten to fifteen dollar a gallon gas will make him a hero to his daddy, who still considers him a bastard stepchild. After all, he can't exactly go after Saudi Arabia when they already have a . . .well, relationship. RR

I don't get why Bush held that guy's hand. When I first saw that I thought of that Simpsons episode where two aliens were disguised as Bill Clinton and Bob Dole.

That's because you think Bush isn't capable of nuance. He's just a dumb hick from Texas with incompetent advisors, right?

I think he has very brilliant advisors, but they had a lapse in consistency when they told him to prolong the handshake.

Is your saracasm suposed to suggest that Bush actually is capable of nuances? Watch the clip of that merry handshake. It is one of the most awkward/wierd/embarrassing/funny things i have ever watched. I know the king was like "wtf is this queer doing?"

Oil prices are skyrocketing around the world. We have the cheapest oil by far other than saudi arabia where it is 59 cents a gallon. Some Western European countries are paying 7-8 dollars a gallon. Mabey thats why they dont drive many SUVs over there
