Alternating between threads with different moods
    #5861449 - 07/15/06 10:52 AM (17 years, 6 months ago)

Does anybody else find it strange when a tragic thread is made and they go in and read the story and express condolences...and then they go into another thread and make a joke?  I just realized that I do this and it seems very strange to me.  It's like the internet makes things so compartmentalized and far-away that you can alternate between moods quickly.

We all need to step away from the keyboards people.  :frown:

We are just enlightened individuals from all of the mushrooms. We experience sadness or tragedy in one thread, accept it as part of the isness of life, and choose not to dwell upon it and continue on living life to its fullest.

Or something like that.

Nope, you're all just heartless druggies...

All your "philosophy" and "enlightenment" are just shallow justification for the black void of a space that was once filled with your soul.

Naw, why should i atach myself to anyone elses life? I feel for whom ever i am conecting with for that moment. After i have moved my direction why should i stay atached to something that is already in the past for me. When i come back to it i will feel for it again. But for now my atention is at what is at hand. And now i must go and take the dog for a walk....

Or its shining evidence of one's "soul" (don't get me started on that one ). So yes, unfortunate events do transpire as the result of foolish, ignorant individuals who lack an understanding of reality and the immediate and far-reaching consequences of their every action.

We can learn from that, build and understanding and carry it with us, which will naturally work towards preventing such unfortunate events from occuring later on by working agansit the ignorance responsible. Why should we emotionally suffer and dwell upon it, though? All that does is needlessly limit our blessed experience of life, which, in turn, serves as a detriment to our ability to work agansit that ignorance.

Like wiggy wiggy whack, man.

Sarcasm. I agree with you, but it's a bit different when it happens to you. If I were in your shoes, I'd be saying the same thing.

Well, certainly, since you are the one who directly experiences it - there is bound to be some emotional work that will need to be done. Fully experience it and explore it, find the source of it, but don't dwell upon it. Realize that, at the very least, it is an incredible oppurtunity to develop yourself and increase your understanding of reality.
