I don't even 100% blame the dog, as much as i do the parents, and those who stood around and watched.. A dog is a loving animal, but it still has it's wild nature at heart..

Maybe the dog didn't think he could hurt the child, but wanted the child to stop crying, after being dropped.. Like somebody said about the puppy theory..

Plus nobody really wants to bring up the fact SHE dropped a two month old.. Now that in it's self is reprehensible.."But wait she was tripping, and didn't mean it". Sure people.. sure..

Bottom line, this was not a dogs fault. That dog didn't jump up in the owners arms knocking her to the ground, and attack a child..She got high, dropped a 2 month old, and the dog reacted. This was the parents fault..

I see your point. If she'd dropped her baby in a fire, you couldn't blame the fire either. The fact that the dog is flesh and blood makes it a likely scapegoat.

If it went down like was said, the parents were absolutely to blame. The baby should have at least been on the ground on a blanket, and only if there was no dog. It's just that I don't believe everything I read, and people's perceptions vary.

I have tripped with my kids with me, but they are old enough to get their own drinks and such, not infants, and dangerous things have already been removed from their reach in my home. Most of the time I dose to co-incide with their bedtimes and they sleep through my trip. The worst thing that could happen is one of the kids could have an asthma attack or something else like that unforeseen and need to goto the hospital. At which point I'd have to hide all my shit and call an ambulance being unable to drive safely.

That said, I wouldn't do any thumbprints or anything like that without getting a babysitter.

I know if I had kids I would stop all drugs period, except maybe booze, a few beer now and then doesn't hurt, but I would never get plastered.

The parents fucked up and noone else. Someone could've stepped in, but it's really not their place. It's not 'community raise my kid for me' and if anyone tries to tell me how to raise my kid I'll beat the shit out of them if they push it too far. Know your place. Hindsight is 20/20 and anyone could be justified intervening if their foresight were... 20/20, but as we know it isn't and wasn't.

You're name is fitting.

I'd have to argue that a weed smoker is apt to be a better parent than a booze drinker. I'd argue again that I am better at parenting on LSD than someone else that is drunk. The reason is that you do not lose your senses on LSD, (I don't at least) that's why scientists can make DNA discoveries on LSD.

That said, I am an extremely experienced tripper too. I have seen people flip out on their first trips, so I would have to say no to people tripping for the first time having any responsibility at all on their hands.

As a rule, the size of my dose is inversely proportional to the amount of responsibilities I have at that time.

For once, I will agree with you on that, pot is more then likely safer then booze when you have kids, but I wouldn't do any acid, even at small doses; this might have something to do with me being crazy already, I don't need any pills to make me crazy, I need em to make me sane. :crazy2:

I said booze because thats all my doctor says im allowed to do, although I do smoke the occasional doobie.

That's great my name fits me, first off.. Because anger is a gift my friend.. As your's defiantly fits you..

Second, and not to derail this any further as i am proud you're so violent, when it comes to people if they tell you that being on acid, and dangling a child over an excited dog is wrong, but if you could keep silent in that situation then fine..

Allot of people couldn't, but i am sure you're a fine and upstanding person who feels being silent while a child is put in danger is fine.. That's why this country has Child Protective agencies, because allot of people believe silence is better.. SO many kids are abused, and killed because hey it's not our place to help them..

I fear for the future..

Booze makes you stumble, fall, drop pointy things, etc. etc. Weed makes you mellow, thoughtful, increases attention span. etc. etc. Your doctor might just be a prohibitionist.

If I eat one hit of acid it's about the same as being high to me. I do that sometimes and then just go through my day like I would ordinarally. Everyone thinks I'm high like I usually am.

I 100% agree with you on pointing the finger at the parents.. I am sure you read what i been saying, and i am angry at people are are saying the parents aren't to blame.. All i am saying as well is, if the parents are too fucked up on drugs to see they are putting that child in mortal danger, then somebody better step in, before the kid dies..

Just cause you birthed a kid don't mean you are a parent, my man.. I know allot of fucked up people who got kids taken away because they abused their kids.. You earn the right to be a parent.. Nobody is perfect at raising kids.. You learn over time.. But what you don't so is put your child in that kind of danger.. I would give my life for my daughter.. Never would i put her in a situation that would ever cause her danger.. They didn't see it like that, i guess and dropped the kid..

But you hold what ever idea you want, and I'll hold mine.. enough said..

Naw I told my doc that pot was my drug of choice and I would not stop it completely, he just said he was "doing his job", like to say hes ok with pot himself its just he wouldn't be a good doctor if he said it was ok to smoke weed.

:what:  Not only did he lose his dog, and  friends?  Who really gives a shit? I hope if this is real he goes to prison and rots to death.

And yes it was his and her fault.. It was anybody who saw them tripping with a child over a chained dog, dancing around fault.. The poster can try to dis-attach himself from blame all he wants, but silence, and ignorance don't carry over in the next life..

And if that seems normal, to be on acid in front of your kids, and put them in danger with a Rottie, please don't have any, or adopted your's out right now.. Because i fear for them..

The mother, and the father are to blame.. And i hope it haunts them till the day they die, that they took a life, with stupidity..  They robbed this child of a life, and a chance to change the world.. So who cares about the fucking dog..  See the real victim here people.. That baby put his trust into them because he couldn't protect himself.. And they took that trust, and feed it to a dog.. Wake up..

But you go on thinking oh poor them, poor them.. I wonder how big the casket was they put this child in.. Guess what, i know cause i have seen a casket that holds a two month old..

This is a tragedy that never had to happen.. Just too bad, nobody had the courage, or the level head, to stop it. Ignorance is golden on this one.

I don't feel any guilt about the situation, if that's what you mean. I went to the house to have fun and conduct a little business, I can't help it if some tards decide to throw their baby to the wolves. I was very high by the time they showed up and I had no idea there would be a baby present that evening. I also had no idea they dropped acid. No one mentioned this fact to me. So am I supposed to walk up to them and say, "Excuse me, are you going to be able to take care of your child this evening or should I watch him for you?" I didn't expect to be there very long either. Also, Fred, Jill, guy, and Kreg went into the back yard alone because they were intimate friends and had a lot of catching up to do (at least, this is what Fred told me). I remained inside and chatted with a cute Asian girl and waited for them all to return.

Sorry if I'm over reacting in this post, but I guess I am fighting guilt a bit. I was thinking that if I had kept an eagle eye on Guy than maybe he would still be breathing, but that's just my mind eating itself. This statement is a repost (for those who havent read through the thread and wish to say they would have been superman in my situation without knowing any of the details).

Hear, hear! Do your own research my friend. Most people who don't smoke pot (and many who do) have no idea about the details of the substance. Besides, a lot of the findings are new.

Hmmm.

A)  If having a party and there is even just drinking involved, not to mention weed, acid, etc. then the baby just should not be around, period.  Find a responsible adult to baby-sit for the evening.  I understand that the tripping couple was "dancing under the moonlight".  Sure sounds like the right time for a baby to be asleep.  The proverbial nice granny down the street would probably have loved to watch over an infant for an evening.  The mere 30 bucks given to her as compensation would have been made up by a drug deal or 2 (specific to the parents being talked about) but the piece of mind would have been priceless.

B) The dog should have been put in the basement or at the very least SECURELY put away from the guests at the party.  If someone gets bitten by a shark in the water while they are thrashing about, well yeah it sucks but a shark will behave like a shark.    A dog will behave like a dog, especially a dog thats particular breed is to be very territorial, very defensive, very powerful, and has a major "Alpha' dog identity.

I once considered buying a Rottie and did some research.  I read that a Rottie needs to be constantly put in its place, for a male Rottie is trying always to prove dominance, even over its master.

C)  As far as assigning particular blame or fault I won't even go there.

Just a Goddamn shame all around.
