HEllo to all. Awoke this morning to find an email form Koh Samui Island near lipa noi, Samui.
He sent me a beautiful image of Copelandia cyanescens. The bell-shaped, and somemwhat hard to see brown-stemed caps in the front with the tooth-like geared edges are Panaeolus sphinctrinus.
Enjoy the image, the shrooms in samui are up.

probnably buffalo from the looks of it. In Thailand the buffalo outnumber the cattle by ten to one.
Mjshroomer
The person who sent it offered to take me around the isle to shom me his rare mushroom spots.
Seemed like a pretty likable fella. Offered to pick me up at the ferry docks. A similar offer to meet someone in Bangkok who owns a boat cruise tour run to Ayuthaya also offerered to take me and my tour on a boat trip up the Chao Phaya Riverm to the last capital, Ayuthaya.
have a shroomy day. It is a nice photo.

I have collected over 200 Copes in one cowpie before. In Hawaii, many cowpies on Oahu and Maui produced 50 or more Copes and up at a time.
AS for buffalo dung, it could be from an area where the manure is spread as fertilizers on someones private property. They do that from the buffalo shit to make powdered fertilizers, then the green starts to grow.
I have pictures of farmers bagging up the manure after it had been in the sun for a while and chickens peck in it also adding to the fertilizers properties of nitrogen and phosphates.
Here is an image of one farmer friend of mine on samui who bags the shit for resale at the markets. Each morn the cattle tenders go to move the buffalo from hot sun to grassy shady area. They do this all day. They also collect coconuts all day.

And they pile manure around the edges of all coconut trees where it accumulates and massive shrooms grow from the area around the trees.
One such small later , maybe the third flush of htese guys since they were all small.

and here is a good normal size buffalo turd
Next to my 12-inch-sized thong.

And some 2" in diameter and more so caps of Copes. i find many with caps this size.

And two pinkies who make the shit. These guys were born when I was there last year.T hey should be quite large and fat by now:

The most Copelandia I've ever seen on a single turd is about 150. I have fond memories of hunting in a cow pasture in Lakewood Ranch Florida, under the forests canopy is where they mainly grow, during hot and sticky summers, and there would be more Copelandia mushrooms growing that can even be picked.
The misquitoes are especially fierce where the shrooms are growing, especially under the shady canopy of trees, so I would have to really hustle and move quick, picking only the most potent and freshest of the Copes.
And I swear by it, occassionally I would find Copes that were insanely potent. Little fat baby Copelandia with frosty flesh, and silver blue swirly stems. They are like Copelandia mushrooms on steriods. Watch out for those for sure.
