Anyone ever heard of a blind person shrooming (I mean fully blind)
I am curious on what they would see?
Even a blind person on any psychedelics, I would like to hear about it
Thanks.

Blind people can't see anything, as they never saw light before. They do hear shit, but they don't see shit. They had an article about this on erowid, or some other site. The exception is if they weren't born blind, and if they lost their site after they were 3-6 or something like that. I'm sure someone will post the link, I just don't know were it is exactly.

I'd be interested in learning that too. I kinda hope they can trip and see colors. That'd be a neat thing. They wouldn't be missing out on the experience.

If you are born blind then you wont hallucinate, but if you become blind after birth, you will most likely still hallucinate. Read it somewhere.

You should have called it "Blind People Trippin" I wondered that a long time ago , What would happen if a blind person had acid, shrooms, DMT, whatever. someone must have, would make a cool trip report
Their world is made of smell touch and sound, they would definitely trip A blind person would get all the mental & physical effects , "Visual hallucinations" are only a small part of a trip, what about tactile(touch) and other sensory hallucinations like smell, auditory hallucinations ?? but I think they might see something unless areas of the brain are damaged

I think it depends on the reason they are blind. If the visual cortex was damaged during childbirth then they probably won't hallucinate. If the eyes were just not formed correctly during childbirth then maybe they would. There are many differnt factors.

If you are blind from birth, your brain hardwires the areas that are normally used for visual processing to other nearby senses (like touch, smell or hearing), that is why blind people have superior acessto their other senses, their brain has just more processing power for these areas. So since the visual cortex was basically reprogrammed htey simply can´t hallucinate, because the brain simply lacks that area to a great extend. (of course there are small residues that are there genetically, but its just not enough to make them have any visual hallucination) But of course, because the other parts of the brain are enhanced by this translation, the hallucinations on the other parts are much improved.
This is the same reason why these new implants that make blind people see (though quite badly) only work on people the have become blind, but not those that were born that war. They simply don´t have the mental capacity to process visual information.

I'm not blind, but I'm pretty near-sighted and when I trip, if I remove my glasses, everything turns blurry except for the hallucinations. I also read somewhere (dxm faq I think?) that someone tripped on dxm with a blind spot (due to stroke), and hallucinations persisted in the blind spot only for days after the actual trip was over.
