Nevermind i found out it's a 10:1 ratio. But i do have a question. Is it true that one the WBS jars are fully inoculated that when you go to case you don't have be as cautious and sterile as when you first inoculate? I did the casing in a small bathroom, and sprayed evrything with industral striaghth lysol. and washed all the fruiting containers with anti-bactireal soap and then alcohol. but during the process where i emptied the jars in the trays i did that in the open and had to break up the substraight with a fork i dipped in alcohol. and then i cased in the open too. but i did it as fast as i could. the room and everything including the trays and ect. where spayed with a lot of lysol. and then left the room for 5 min. and i also spayed myself before and after i whent back in the room. did i over do it. or did i not do enough? Thanx for any help.

First, it's "substrate." Not a flame, just sayin'.
Second, when peroxide IS used, the amount is generally 3%.
Finally, I'm going to go against the grain of the rest of the posters and note that I add H2O2 to all water that goes into my tubs. I add it to the water that my casing layer mix is soaked in and I put H2O2 in the bottles I mist my shrooms with.
I'm not an experienced grower but using this procedure my pinsets have been prolific, the fruits have been potent and I haven't had a contam yet.

Allright, i know my grammer sucks. so 10% peroxide is too much? And what about the way i did my transfer from jars to fruit trays in the open like that?

i think splifner got mixed up with 3% peroxide, and 10% in your mix.
You use a 1:10 ratio of 3% peroxide to 100% water.
The peroxide you buy at a store is usually 3% peroxide.
So yes, 1 part peroxide, 10 parts water is standard if you want to use it for misting or dunking, etc etc.
I personally haven't had the need to use peroxide in my spray bottle, but if you're prone to contams, i guess it couldn't hurt too much.
When I first started cultivating, I used to spray my PF cakes with a h202/h20 solution, because I thought it had cobweb, turns out it was just myc, and the spray killed it, and set the whole fruiting process back a few days... So long story short... I haven't used it since, and I've never had a problem with cobweb... Trichoderma is a different story for me though :P about 1 in 10 of my casings fall to trich between the 2nd and 3rd flushes, and i just toss it out
Also i've heard that myc will 'learn' to process the h202 faster the more you use it... I think hyphae said that in a thread a while ago... Not sure if it was him or not, or where he found that information, but hey, it's worth a shot!

Thank you for the posts guys. but could someone answer the question that once fully colonixed the substrate is less prone to contams, as bacteria can't really get a hold as much sinse it's covered with lot's of mycelium? Just paranoid that iv'e waited this long to case, and had to do it in an open bathroom with no hood or anything. Thanx again.

Yes, a fully colonized substrate is quite contaminant resistant. bacteria can't gain a stronghold
