Pan Cyans in a monotub?

Okay, I have been through the first flush on my 2 strains I bought from Ralph. Texas and GT. Texas had tiny fruits, but a huge flush. GTs had significantly larger fruits, but a bit of a smaller (more staggered) flush. Both shit spores everywhere (as expected) and both gave nice highs. My issue is I WANT MORE!! On my first trip with Texas, I downed an 1/8th. (Lemon/Lime juice method) and I must say I was kind of disappointed. Next came an 1/8th of GTs (same method) I remember being a bit more slack jawed on the GT trip (Maybe high level 2 or 3) but I still had a good grip on reality. (Just a distorted one) And it was for a short amount of time.
At any rate, from what I have read, Cyans are the way to go if you want to lose your gourd. And I also just built a monotub to see how that works out as opposed to the broke dick martha I have set up. Has anyone had success with the cyans in a monotub? (The grow procdure is a bit different) and Im wondering if the mono would be the way to go for a hella decent grow of cyans. Thx -Me

From what I recall reading (no practical, personal experience mind you), the hard part is going to be maintaining a low-90's RH which is key to cyans.
But I'm sure someone can weigh in with a better answer. If a good answer doesn't arrive, PM Blue Helix. IIRC he's the one with pan skills.

Fuggit, I think after I print one of my GTs after this next flush, I will run my GTs in the monotub to devirginize it (and myself on a MT grow) From there I will grow a hair or two on my ass and attempt Pan Cyans in the mono. (Fuck trying the traditional method for starters) I think I need to hit up Ralphster for a Pan syringe. -Me

If you use the same tub for the cyans, be sure to sterlize it really well! Otherwise you might get the golden teacher spores contaminating your pan grow.

See thats what I dont want to wait and see. Chances are I will get one handful of people saying they had no success, while others might state something different. I think I am going to try this just for my own shits and giggles. (I also plan to run the cyans the normal way as well becuase this will be my first pan attempt) Wish me luck! Order for spores is goin out today! -Me

If you'll grow on horse manure and use a very thin casing layer of peat/verm, you can treat pans just like cubes and they'll do fine in a mono tub. Pans like it around 80F during fruiting, so keep the temp up. They also take around ten days to two weeks to pin once placed into fruiting conditions, so make sure your casing is properly limed to resist contaminants during the longer initiating cycle. RR

I do not believe anyone has grown pans in a mono tub, although many have thought of it.
The rh is not the biggest problem, it is the air exchange. I have not use a mono or double tub, but I have grown Pan Cyans, as long as they get plenty of air theyll be fine. A mono tub may work, but I am not sure as to the results, and I dont think anyone else has actually tried yet..be sure to report back if you do.
I would do cubies to dung first, if you havnt yet..

OK nice, just wonder one thing. when the spawn is running on a mono-tub. would i have already put polyfill in? or do i put it after casing?

so it is best to put tape , and then change to polyfill when it is casing time? :s
what about the air exchange that the spawn need?

tolenrence and potency varies alot with mushroom to mushroom and person to person, you may not feel much on 1/8 but someone could trip balls off it. some strains are more likely to fluchuate in potency.

I've done Pan Cyans var. Goliath, Lipa Noi, and Jamaica in monotubs many times with varying success. I use 18 gal Sterilite tubs. WBS to Hpoo. My best results came from the Goliath strain with a 2" substrate depth and a thin (1/8") layer of 50/50+ for casing. With Pans, just remember they need almost constant FAE. I hooked up a Vick's Coolmist to 4 tubs set on a 15 second on/10 minute off cycle. Drilled four holes in the tubs just above the casing's level and covered them with micropore tape. I think I harvested around a half ounce dry from that run. I'm still tweaking my methods, but learn something new with each grow. I love Pans since they are potent, beautiful, and super fast from spore to fruit. I hate them because they are so succeptible to contamination, and have little to no resistance to it once the dreaded green sets in, unlike Cubensis. The yield is also much lower.
>>>so it is best to put tape , and then change to polyfill when it is casing time?
Yes
>>>what about the air exchange that the spawn need?
You do not want air exchange for the spawn run. A buildup of CO2 is beneficial, and the introduction of FAE is one of your pinning triggers when introducing fruiting conditions.
