Does this really work?
    #585867 - 03/21/02 11:33 PM (22 years, 10 months ago)

www.homesteadbook.com has a mushroom kit called the EZ-Grow Kit. It comes ready to go. All you have to do is mix the spores and grain and then mix the grain with the compost. YOu then just put the plastic box in a place that is warm and has light. It claims that after 2-4 wks you will have shrooms. You dont have to do anything but wait. Can this be true?

Hawk Eye has the same basic "kit" that is a better buy. Look for the DB compost.

I agree with Koos,
Read the PF-tek thorough and you will be succesfull.
I'm a newbie to in this area.
I was growing cannabis a couple a years ago for some tim,
but this is so much easyer and you have some much quicker results.

Good luck!
Paddo

Man I cant relate to you people that think that growing the fungus is easier than growing good buds. (no ofensie)

I used to grow for my personal use for years with no problem. Now I live in a Kentucky where I dont need to grow, weed is everywhere here, and I'm not taking the legal risk with all of the dirt cheap smoke here.

A few times I even had shit published in High Times magazine! I mean it was easy for me. (over 7 years ago- the statue of limitations has ran out on these events) However the fungus hobby seems to be a lot more dificult to me.

Oh well.... people are diferent.

First off all this is no flame

But to begin growing shrooms is easyer then growing buds ,because you don't need expensive lights, closed rooms or boxes, filters for the nice smell, etc etc,and it takes more time to get a bud then a shroom.
I don't say that i know evry thing about Mycology (i only wish) but, i took me more time to understand the way to grow a good bud then a good shroom.
there are much more arguments why cultivating shroom is easyer the cultivating cannabis.
But you can't compare theme both.

If you take time in learning them both ,there both are easy.
but because you see so much quicker results when growing fungus is (for me) more fun.

True, there is more prep time and expense to get started with weed. We agree here.
