Train Station Goodbyes

I'm off to penn station to send my girlfriend off on a train for a weekend trip she's taking to pennsylvania to visit one of her friends. She comes back Monday, but on Sunday I leave for Europe for a month so right now, this morning, is the last I'm going to see her for something like thirty-three days. Weird. We've never been apart for that long in the three years we've been together.

It's really, really tough to be far away from the person that you love... some days you just can't stop thinking about them, but when it's all over, and you're back together again, you'll look back and say "wow, did that ever go by quickly"
I swear.

That sounds tough. I know what it feels like though because my girlfriend lives with me. Even when she's gone for a day I don't feel right. She never really goes anywhere and we are poor so we don't travel much.
On the positive side, it should feel really good to get together again after being apart for a while. It might even bring you closer once you get a feeling of what it's like to be away from each other.

Also, unfortunately, absense makes the dick grow harder.
33 days will fly by... Keep busy. Do some LSD and Talking Heads. You'll survive just fine. You always have The Shroomery.

I had to do the same with my gf once, but we were breaking up and she was going to his parent's house, 2000km away. I'm going to visit her this august and after that it's probably going to be 2 years until we can be together again. Talk about a goodbye

Right. Except I'm gonna be backpacking across Europe and avoiding technology as much as possible.

Are you going to wave bye while the train starts leaving, then run along side it waving as it chugs away into the distance? Because that'd be cool

I wish man, but I had to say goodbye to her at the gate since I didn't have a ticket. Security measures have killed the romance of a prior era.

Yeah, do it in slow motion too of course, to make it look dramatic.
