For me the darkness didn't kill it just left scars......
I was a "cutter" ---self mutilation--- as a result of physical and verbal abuse.......that abuse is messing with my tripping ....making me sick and paranoid.....I hate it but can't "think" my way past it.....
It's chilling to read your post because it makes me think about cutting and I don't do it anymore.....I'm also working with a 13 yr old boy who recently cut his knuckles with a knief.....he's a mess emotionally and working with him gives me that same chilling feeling like the onset of a trip.......

meh..personally if I was gonna kill myself, and there was a time when I seriously considered it, i would go skydiving and not pull the chord. What a way to go.

part of spiritual growth is accepting your dark side, the side that made you and i feel as if suicide was the only way out, but we are stronger now, united for a purpose, a purpose to which much are still opposed to egotistically. the ego must be destroyed. we must realize that when we get mad at someone if they have hurt us it only because are ego does not want to accept our shadow ( dark side ), the part of us that has done wrong to others, this is our ego's defense. we must not get mad at this person but love and accept them. " love your enemies as you would yourself. we must destroy the ego and unite in peace and love once again, this will set evolution on the correct path again.
