There are about 10-15 of these scattered in my backyard growing out of the ground that look just like it. They shot up very quickly after a good week of rain (SE Florida). Cap is about 12-15 cm. Spore print is grayish.

grey-green spore print perhaps??? If there is a greenish tint to the colour of spores, then it is Chlorophyllum molybdites, which is poisonous.
If the spore print were white I would say (Macro)Lepiota rachodes or a similar Lepiota species.

Actually, even if the spore is not green it could still be Chlorophyllum molybdites. There are occasionally whiter spored varieties, and young ones with still white gills can have whiter spores. Found that out when it was a Fungus of the Month from Tom Volk's excellent website.

The spores are white to start out then mature green as the mushroom ages. Luckily we don't get those over here in the UK.

Good to know Xmush! Hmmm, well I reckon just stay far from the edible Lepiotas that resemble green gills if sometimes, the green appears white...
I'm sure that it's some what experience based though... As I could not differentiate between Pan. subbs and some Psathyrellas before I began finding Panaeolus species. No the differences are blatant. So far I have not come accross any mushrooms of the genus Lepiota.

Thanks for all the replies, this is my 1st hunting post. After leaving the mushroom out overnight, the gills are turning gray with a hint of olive green. I didn't plan on eating it...but now I really don't plan on it!

This man speaks the truth.
I've printed plenty of these from my area, and I've yet to get a GREEN spore print. The closest I've come was a yellowish green (think sinus infection), but most of them print yellow or white.
These prints all come from mushrooms with nice green gills too
Like this one (I know you've probably seen this pic before):
