 question about rot

i fan dried a shroom for half a day, and then set it in the fridge for about 6 hours and when i took it out of the fridge it looked kind of rotten. the cap was darker and the stem was too, although i think the stem was mainly bruised. it doesn't really smell too much. is it still safe to eat or should i chuck it?

I am amazed to see yet another "should I eat it" post. Would you eat rotten meat or any other type of food?

screw you luvdemshrooms, the only time i notice you post is to say shit like this too ppl. i remember you flipin me shit for a Q like this.
dont eat it. why did you dry it for half a day and put it in the fridge? makes no sense. if its got black on the cap its rotten, its like fruit, when it goes bad it gets softs spots and they are darker in color, you cant miss it.

because i took it to a friends to eat and it was left over. i had no fan to put it over so i had to stick it in the fridge. and a little bit rotten small shroom is a lot different than rotten meat for christ's sake.

If these are the only types of posts you see from me your not looking very hard. I don't post all that often because many of the questions are so easily answered using the FAQ. That's where I find most of the answers I seek. But when I see a question as stupid as this one, I feel a need to speak out.
But back to the original question. Eating anything rotten is stupid.
It amazes me that people who wouldn't dream of consuming any other rotten substance somehow lose any trace of common sense when it comes to shrooms.
