Aluminum foil?

I've heard from some people that keeping LSD blotter paper wrapped in aluminum foil can degrade the LSD and accelerate potency loss. Is there any merit to this?

Not to my knowledge...the only way that would be possible is if the aluminum interacted with the LSD. And that, AFAIK, doesn't really happen, unless you apply some sort of energy to it...probably heat, which in itself would degrade the LSD...so just keep it in foil in a cool, dark, dry place and you should be set.

The other thing is, foil isnt fully light proof. Thats only in one layer though. It shouldnt really effect it, unless someone wraps theyre tabs in only one layer, then stores them in a lit up place..might do something then.

Aluminum is an extremely reactive element, this is true. So reactive in fact that it forms a layer of unreactive oxide on its surface almost immediately upon exposure to air. As has been said, it's pretty inert in everyday life. Except in terms of extreme heat, but you're not planning to preheat your squid with an acetylene torch before ingestion, are you?

The only thing i noticed is that after a long period of time, the foil will leave some corrosion on the paper. Its had no effect on potency is my expierence.
Ever since seeing the brownish black corrosion on some of paper i have some cellophane around my hits then al foil.

As long as the aluminum oxide is on their it shouldn't react with the LSD. Basicly just don't dip it all in mercury and its alright.

Very intersting. I've heard many views on this.
I personally think it's best to have a safe wax paper around the blotter, or baggie/cellophane, then foil up THAt.
Then we avoid light exposure and can rule out

Foil is fine. Keep your paper in foil in a plastic bag in a book in a cool dry place.

Foil it, put it in a ziplock. No problems.
