night vision and gps are your friends along with infared glow sticks. gps with 2 way radio are the shit.

Do i really need 2 way radios?

This is going to be a one man op if it happens.

I definitely think nightvision and GPS are key. But any links or info on actually things that i need to do etc?

use your nose as a radar detector.  If you can smell them, you can find them!

GPS yes but if you "got caught" at night with all that equipment (night vision, etc) you are gonna get in trouble...

go during the day and act like you just a normal hiker and go around the premis a couple times to see if anyones watching and make sure there arent any helecopters around, if you do a deep watering you will only have to water 1-2 times a week depending on weather...

make sure the area isnt near a local hiking trial either as people do tend to wander off, it must be ateast a mile from any normal hiking area... try to do it out in the middle of nowhere... and dont make any trails to the area, go a different way each time...

also dont put your farm in one spot, put only about 5-10 plants in one spot where there is a lot of other natural green plants so it makes them blend in, this is where the GPS comes in handy so you can mark every location...

you wont get in trouble for night vision or gps. tell them you just got it and are taking it out for a test.

using your nose as a radar is very hard especially if the wind is changing directions. i can smell my old crops(back in the day) about 50 yards away but you couldnt pin point its location because this was in the woods and it was hard to tell the direction it was coming from. one minute it stank the next it vanished and so on. not as easy as one would think unless your right on top of it.

IMHO if you have night vision and a lot of water then that would be highly suspicious... unless you had a tent and "were going camping"...

Why would you need to carry water, doesn't nature provide water? I don't think it's realistic to carry gallons of water for a few miles unless you have a good 4x4. I'd think you'd only need a litre of water or something to carry your ferts in.

I really have to carry dirt? I can't just use the soil around the area?
