Could my mycelium be dead?

Heres my situation
I made a casing, it fully colonized the casing layer in about 9 days, so I put it in my FC to fruit, followed hypae's pinning strategy, and now the casing has been in the FC for 18 days, no pinning or anything. No mold or whatnot. It just is there and looks the same, no growth of anything, and my temp. and CO2 exchange and lighting is all acurate
So could my casing mycelium be dead?

And I dunked my casing layer before I put it in the FC, so the casing is not low of water, nor to full of water

Actually, if you followed hyphae's pinning strategy, you would have never allowed the casing layer to fully colonize. Read up and start over. Something is wrong for sure. RR

Is it natural lighting or artificial lightning? I had this probelm a couple of time ago. We had made our FC in a closet with an artificial light 12/12. After 1½ week in it, there was no pin and the mycelium pokin out didn't grow. We decide to switch it next to his basement window(facing east wiht a tree in front of it, so never direct sun light) an 1 week lather, we were hardversting.

you can't attribute that to your lighting. with your time frame there, it would have worked out exactly as you describe without changing the lighting up... it was ready to pin anyway, switching lighting sources had nothing to do with it... just a coincidence.

A classic case of someone not having the patience to wait, then thinking that their fucking around with the cakes actually helped rather than hindered them!
Classic!
