i already posted about one of the mushrooms but it never showed up on the board so im trying again
#1 location: cow field-not in cow poop- wooden fence near by (if that means anything)it had been raining 2 days before and rained earlier that day cap: pure white ranging from 1-3 inches across circular but not perfect circle gills:darkbrown with about 2-3mm spacing inbetween each (i dont know if they are attached or not) SP:dark brown-black stem- white ranging from 2-3 inches tall bruses bluish-purple when dry has verticle lines from bottom to top of whole stem. very flexable scent-very earthy these look very similar dried to mushrooms ive eaten before pictures on #1

#2 location- wooded area in some leaves and twigs had been raining a couple days before cap-orange about 1cm across bubble shaped gills-off-white very close together SP:i havent been about to get a good print but im still trying stem-white about 3-4 cm long very flexable pics of #2!

sorry for bad pics of #1 had to dry them very quickly they became very mushy on the bike ride home and when i oppened them at home they had small brown bugs on them which died in the drying process.

no one will be able to tell you on #1... #2 doesn't look active...
spore prints might be necessary...

#1 is too dry to get an ID, but they look like they could be some type of Agaricus. Not active.
#2 looks like a young psathyrella whose gills are still light, but I'm not sure. Would like to know the spore print color. Also not active whatever it is.

You said you haven't been able to get a good print?? Hmmm, try using some black paper rather than white paper for the spore print... The spores may be white.
Xmush, I thought the same as you did for a moment, but normally with many specimens of one species of mushroom growing close together, I would expect at least one to be near maturity... It doesn't appear as though these mushrooms get much larger than this stage. I would be surprised if the cap were to flatten out beyond this "bell" form cap.
However, if they are Psathyrella and you have not been able to get a proper spore print, I'd say you are not going to- the black spores may not have matured enough in the alleged 'pins'.

Good point CC. They all have pale gills. Unless it's a first flush it might well be something else. I also based it on the snappy looking nature of the stems in that one picture. iago, do the stems snap in half very easily, and even make a snapping sound? If you don't have a print, do like CureCat said and try to print it on black paper.

Yes, the stipe of that one mushroom in the first photo is what led me to consider Psathyrella as well... Though, that was definately not a clean cut sort of "snap". The stipe looks rather durable, as it is bent and tattered and still not giving way.
For instance, with genus such as Panaeolus, the stipe would have snapped into two sections, perhaps hanging on by a strand. With the genus Conocybe, it is so delicate that any sort of pressure usually causes it to break apart into fragments.
