Shake immediately after inoculation or after some growth?

I am planning on inoculating a large filter patch bag OF WBS w/ about 40 CC of LC. Should I massage the bag immediately after inoculation to spread the liquid around or should I wait for some growth first? If i should wait, how much growth should wait for before massaging?
Or, should i do both?

With LC, go ahead and knead it right away. With spores, I like to let them germinate in close proximity to each other so they can match up, then knead or shake. RR

With LC I like to mix at inoculation and again around 30%, give or take.

Just keep in mind that shaking causes the myc to seperate. It takes 24 hours to re-knit and begin to grow again so don't over-do it. If you shake up the jars too many times they'll stall for lack of moisture.

24 hours is kind of general :P
But yeah, I shake after inoculation with an LC, then at ~30 percent. After the 30 percent shake, it usually recovers between 12-36 hours depending on the strain (or substrain).
