MOVING TO TORONTO
    #5852385 - 07/12/06 08:53 PM (17 years, 6 months ago)

For real.

If I don't do it this time, you guys have all rights to kick my ass and send me hate mail.

I'm going to live at Gillettes house. We're gonna be roommates again... I just got off the phone with her.

Leaving it all behind, ALL OF IT.... and I'm not running away. I'm just letting it go. Right?

Right!

PEACE

:mushroom2:zippoz:mushroom2:

"in times of widespread chaos and confusion, it has been the duty of more advanced human beings - artists, scientists, clowns, and philosophers - to create order. In such times as ours however, when there is too much order, too much m management, too much programming and control, it becomes the duty of superior men and women and women to fling their favorite monkey wrenches into the machinery. To relieve the repression of the human spirit, they must sow doubt and disruption"

"People do it every day, they talk to themselves ... they see themselves as they'd like to be, they don't have the courage you have, to just run with it."

Whatever. Just make sure you're actually doing something rather than just justifying runninG away as letting go...

Does Gillette live in her own house or with a parent?

Do you eventually want to find your own place?

Toronto is about 5 hours south of me. I can throw my long underwear out. Those guys are weak when it comes to blizzards.

I want to visit Toronto. I need to get a passport, so I can visit other countries and get out the hell out of this one for a change. I liked Gillette, when I met her at Bonnaroo. She's very chill, but I can see her being a crazy person, at times. Crazy in a good way, though. She reminds me/looks like this girl that I dated, in college. That girl was Italian, though and Gil's Greek, I think. Not much of a difference, but I'm rambling, so whatever. :crazy2:

Are you happy about the move, or is it a bittersweet kind of feeling?

Actually blissed, I am Italian, and I suppose I may be a little crazy in that Italian way.

And yeah I live with my parents and they're totally cool with Bom living with us, in fact my parents have been asking her to move back for awhile now, shes like their own daughter.

Redstorm, I would love to visit Lake Huron! I've heard some good things about the camping.

I've never been to Toronto or even Canada or even any father than the Northwest.
However, I desire to go all over Florida, Texas, Mexico, and South America.
And I feel I'll be moving within the month as well.
Bom how long until you move,
And what are you leaving behind, everything?

Gil, were you two friends before you found the Shroomery, or did you meet here. You both have been here for a long time. I was just wondering.

Redstorm, I would love to visit Lake Huron! I've heard some good things about the camping.

yeah we were friends before the shroomery (I know hard to believe there was life before the the shroomery) we met in highschool, known each other for about 10 years now actually.

Well, most of my shit is all here now.  My room is starting to actually look like a room.

Gill and Blink came up to Pembroke and we took a huge load of shit back to Brampton. We spent most of yesterday unpacking boxes, drinking rum and smoking joints with my sister and some other awesome people.

I still feel like living in some kind of surreal dreamscape leaving my small town life behind me, but this is a good thing.  I know this...I just don't feel it.  But I will.

:heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart:

I slept in my bed for the first time in three bloody months last night.  That was a sweet deal.  Things are happening.

Next step.... employment.  :tounge:

Um, probably not. Tool is not my scene at all.... but I'll be here, so if you want to grab a latte or something I'd love to see ya. I'll distribute some contact information when I get myself hooked up with a phone number.

I'm sure when the time comes that I'm up there you will be settled in...

and a Tool show with a head full of LSD is amazing... keep in mind my normal musical tastes are the Grateful Dead, 70's funk and jazz....

I have been going through my own issues with small-town life and having to face returning from my own far-away dreamscape. I'm on the eve of returning to my small home town after living almost a thousand miles away for the past 6 months and it scares me to death. I keep thinking I'm going to end up screwing myself and being stuck there, but I know if I make an effort to go somewhere else then I can just use this brief return home as a stepping stone and a chance to regroup..

What's the cost of living up there anyway? I've given a lot of thought to heading north of the border sometime in the next couple of years.. seems like it's got the best of what the USA has minus the silly political involvement.

depends where you are, really.

The closer you are to the city...the cost of living just skyrockets.  But up north where I just came from it's just rediculously reasonable.  I paid $500+ util for my two bedroom apt with a shit-ton of space, storage room, free parking...  why am I giving this up again?  :wtf:

its a good thing...

I did the same thing a few months ago... I feel much better... if I was up there in my old town I would be drowning in misery... down here I am surrounded by friends, and I have been making new memories to replace the old ones...

PEACE

"in times of widespread chaos and confusion, it has been the duty of more advanced human beings - artists, scientists, clowns, and philosophers - to create order. In such times as ours however, when there is too much order, too much m management, too much programming and control, it becomes the duty of superior men and women and women to fling their favorite monkey wrenches into the machinery. To relieve the repression of the human spirit, they must sow doubt and disruption"

"People do it every day, they talk to themselves ... they see themselves as they'd like to be, they don't have the courage you have, to just run with it."
