Iguana Light for fruiting ?

Those lights are designed to put off heat more so than light and may burn off your humidity and raise temps depending on your setup.

if its accually called the iguana light then i wont put off hardly any heat.  used to use those for my reptile and amphibian hobby.  those lights have vitimans and rays that are important to most tropical reptiles.  that light should be fine.  hell, i have been using coco coir for my poison dart frogs for years :smile:

though you could have saved yourself alot of money by getting a regular light sorce, those reptile lights are spendy!

yea, but ive got iguanas heh
and no it doesnt put off barely any heat at all.

Yeah when I was putting together my terrarium I checked into those lights as a heat source and lighting. Most everything I read mentioned heat so I assumed (mother of all fuckups!) they all put out heat. Ya know, crow doesn?t taste bad with your foot in your mouth! :smile:

green iguanas? i hate iguanas, they stink, most are mean and they are ntorious for saminela i like more exotice herps. not in the hobby anymore but i had a ew panther chameleons, some geckos, a bunch of boa constrictors of various sub species.
