Yeah then the U.S. would be fighting a "holy war"...
Fuck that, let's just get Bush the hell out and go from there if such a thing is still possible.

The people in charge are only 50% of the problem.
"We the people"- that is everyone who isn't in charge - are the other half of the problem. Regular people. We vote these guys into power (at least those of us who can vote) and we allow them to remain in power. Not even dictators can come to power without the support (even if it's tacit) of a significant portion of the population.

Am I the only one who wishes someone would just fucking nuke Jeruselum already? The Muslims and Jews seem like 2 children fighting over a fucking toy. Remove the toy, remove the problem. I dont see any other solution, anyone else?

I don't care what happens as long as something happens to lead to the wiping out of modern government systems. I'm bored with laws.

The radiation from detonating a nuke is capable of having some effect upon the entire globe.
One nuke is minimal, but the result of an actual nuclear war will be felt by all, especially the nearby countries where cancer then becomes a way of life

I dont actually advocate destroying Jeruselum as that would kill more people then the entire Palastinian/Isreali conflict so far but, it seems that if there were a way to either put the city under neutral control or if all else fail destroy it then the problem would diminish greatly. I know there other reasons for this mess also.

It may not require a majority, just a significant portion of the population.
Or a significant portion of $$$

this has been mentioned a few times now... it seems people think Israel is led by fanatic orthodox jews that want to keep the holy city for them selves... this is really far from that truth though! this has almost nothing to do with "the holy land" and everything to do with a couple of soldires that were kidnaped, and the fact that the northern parts of the country keeps getting bombed by terrorists
if jerusalem was obliterated they'd STILL want us in the sea they'll probably blame us for its loss and want to erect some kind of temple on the ruins of old jerusalem (it's happened befor ) but Israel is not fighting a "holy war" it's only doing its best to survive in peace (although that does mean we sometimes have to use exccess force!) of course i doubt we'll ever give jerusalem away, maybe in 200-300 years when things go quite around here we'll be able to some how share it? there's got to be peace first though...

Apparently 220,000 Israelis hunkered down in bomb shelters as Hezbollah rained 50 rockets down on them. Israel killed a bunch of civilians and bombed Hezbollah's leader's house. Hezbollah's leader and his family are safe. The five airplanes of Lebanon made it out safely before Israel bombed the shit out of the airport again. France's Jacques Chirac implied Syria and Iran have a hand in this.
