Solanine as a hallucinogen?
    #5848584 - 07/11/06 08:44 PM (17 years, 7 months ago)

A while I saw a post on another forum about potato eyes being used as a hallucinogen. Although I've sadly lost the link now, can anyone provide me with any info that may be related? According to wikipedia, solanine CAN cause hallucinations but it also causes a bunch of pretty nasty side effects.

Only related thing I've heard of is that you can't eat green potatoes because they're poisonous until ripe, but alot of poisons are hallucinogenic, rattlesnake bites will make you trip too, not trying to be too facetious, but just be sure to do your research.

Yep, I know this. I scoured every website I know (including Google, plus Google Books) and couldn't find more info than this.
