I fucking told someone that they should have stickied this acrossed the forums. 'Course, I only said it in one of the many threads on it, so its lost in the multitudes...

Like I already said, we should all start contacting the media or the conductors of the study and report our own insight and experience on the matter. Really get this thing going, the world could certainly use mushrooms if it realized that mushrooms are healthy and beneficial in ways they couldn't possibly conceive!

Peace. :mushroom2:

As McKenna said time and again, it's time for us as a community to stand up and say, "I'm stoned and I'm proud, dammit!"

--------------------
“Strengthened by contemplation and study,
I will not fear my passions like a coward.
My body I will give to pleasures,
to diversions that I’ve dreamed of,
to the most daring erotic desires,
to the lustful impulses of my blood, without
any fear at all, for whenever I will—
and I will have the will, strengthened
as I’ll be with contemplation and study—
at the crucial moments I’ll recover
my spirit as was before: ascetic.”

Reading this article makes me feel like Galileo might have felt, had he lived to see the day when the rest of society finally decided that the earth revolved around the sun.

Demonstrate the slightest bit of basis for this conclusion. I, quite simply, will not simply assume that you are correct, as I do not allow unsubstaniated fluff opinion to be toted about as though it were shining truth. :sorry:

Is this assertion the result of critical assesment of the information provided in the multitude of news articles pertaining to the report? Not only was the study approved by the federal government (otherwise it would have been illegal and there would have been arrests), it was, in part, funded by the federal government. Why yes, it is only natural that the FDA would be outraged by the result of the study and prohibt further research and study.

"The document you requested either no longer exists or is not currently available."

I'm sorry, but that, in no way, serves as a basis for your assertions. Now, instead of making such assertions and completely ignoring questions and inquiries concerning your assertions, let's focus upon them and address them - that is what discussion is, and that is why we are all here.

Now, you said "the world ain't interested in our insights".

I stated, in response "Demonstrate the slightest bit of basis for this conclusion. I, quite simply, will not simply assume that you are correct, as I do not allow unsubstaniated fluff opinion to be toted about as though it were shining truth."

So please elaborate and provide basis for that assertion.

With sarcasm?

That is the whole point, I was casting amused doubt upon that line of reasoning. I directly evidenced aspects of reality that contradict such reasoning, the fact that the federal government approved the research and partially funded it. It is your responsibility to demonstrate that such reasoning is actually valid.

I'm still waiting...

If you are not capable of basic reading comprehension, or engaging in simple, interactive discussion, then I request that you do not start such discussion by making assertions.

*waves hand in front of your eyes to discern if you are perceiving or not*

Some of us are actually here to discuss ideas, to learn and grow and evolve through interaction and exchange. This isn't Spew Opinion With No Responsibility To Others. :nonono:

The Great Auk (Pinguinus impennis) is an extinct bird. It is classified as the only species in the genus Pinguinus. It was also known as garefowl, from the Old Norse geirfugl, or penguin (see etymology below). At about 75 centimetres or 30-34 inches, the flightless Great Auk was the largest of the auks. It had white and glossy black feathers. The longest wing feathers were only 4 inches long. Its feet and claws were black. The webbed skin between the toes was brown/black. The beak is black with white tranverse groves. There was an area of white feathers on both side of the head between the beak and each eye. It had a reddish/brown iris. Juvenile birds had less prominant grooves in their beaks and had mottled white and black necks.

In the past, the Great Auk was found in great numbers on islands off eastern Canada, Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Ireland and Great Britain, but it was eventually hunted to extinction.

They were excellent swimmers, using their wings to swim underwater. Their main food was fish. They walked slowly and sometimes used their wings to help them over the land. They had few natural predators, besides perhaps Polar Bears in icy areas, and had no innate fear of humans. Their flightlessness and awkwardness on land compounded their vulnerability to humans, who hunted them for food, feathers, and also for specimen collection for museums and private collections.

Superb, but not relevant to the topic at hand, or the responses to your assertions. Utilize that skill to engage in coherent, pertinent discussion.
