massive overlay!
    #584623 - 03/20/02 08:30 PM (22 years, 13 days ago)

i have a cambodian casing of 2 quart of colonized rye, i put it in fruiting chamber at the site of mycelium colonating the casing layer, over the next few days it colonized the casing layer totaly, now it looks like a big flatcake! it is pinning massively, like i have never gotten pinning, i hear most of these will abort due to the overlay, right?

my realy Q is this. since it is pretty much a flatcake should i bother to reduce the humidity for fruiting or should i leave it be and fruit as a cake? think i outta remove it from the tray?

ive read that leaving the humidity high and treating it like a cake is the right thing to do...but have never had this happen to me...so im not for sure

More than likely most will abhort, you will want to maintain a high humidity in this case
