PESA - Slow Colonizers??
    #584751 - 03/21/02 01:14 AM (14 years, 8 months ago)

Hey everyone... After receiving the bluethumb beginner kit, we were VERY sterile, rubber gloves, took showers, lysol, hepa filter, in the oven... It's been about 4 days, and we can't see any mycellium... We also set up a fishtank heater, heating the couple inches of water inside of the bin to an even 83 degrees. Shouldn't this be making the mycellium grow like crazy? I'm afraid of dry substrate. Now, from what I've read, people have been saying they've had PESA jars colonize to 90% in under a week. No contams, and the jars smell peachy, but still no growth... Any ideas? Also, we started growing from these jars about a week after the sterilization of the jars had been completed. If our jars are too dry, is there a way we can give them some water, maybe with a syringe? Thanks for the input guys...
--PS: How are the PESAs trip-wise? Fun? Sick? Spiritual?
--PSS: This is all hypothetically speaking...

Thanks!

PESA are in the top 3 for speed of growth... you should see germination any day now they should take off, mycelium like marshmellow, very rhizo, excellent vibe.. as with any mushroom trip, its more what you make it as far as 'sick, fun, spiritual'. They are not bad.

Thanks for the reassuring tone   I'm getting a little worried, but I think that's more a matter of how impatient I am.   Yah, I just remember reading the Mazapaztecs were more of a spiritual trip, so I've been asking around...  I can't wait !

Thanks

Not to get too far off subject, but, are there any tips specific to the mazapatecs? I have trouble with mushrooms being tough on my stomach/body, because I weigh 125 even, a 2.5g dose seems like nothing, and a 3.5 makes my stomach hurt, it's hard to find equilibrium, especially with all the diff. strains. Has there ever been anyone to come up with a good over the counter medicine to act as a benzodiazepine. Apparently, benzos are great for counteracting bad trips.

Thanks!
