Thanks FGL. I bought some Lysol NeutroAir instead of Oust, is that bad?
I'll try to find one of those lamps. (:

assuming you dont have a grinder of some sort... you're gonna need a way to powder that brown rice
a coffee grinder will do nice, they're cheap.

Thanks Hoss.
What would I use the Ispropyl on? The syringe needle to prevent cross contamination?
I didn't see that in any of the Teks I read yet.

> Lysol isnt good to kill airborne comta
It's as good as anything. I don't know why people think that one aresol spray is better than another. They both have the same problem in that spraying a bunch of tiny droplets into the air isn't going to reach all the airborne contams. Droplets will float right next to contams and not do anything to them. Smaller or larger droplets aren't going to make that much difference.
The only good ways to sterilize air are a HEPA filter or UV.

You can also use isop. for surfaces and your hands and anything else in the area just to be safe.
Also, having trouble finding vermiculite? I'm doing my shopping today and that kinda worries me...

Awesome, thanks! Aquarium or Tote for a FC?
Yeah Nick -- I found someone but it was just called "Specialty Vermiculite." Wasn't sure if I should get it or not. It was in a bag the size of a 12 year old kid.
I realized I don't have a lighting source. Fastfred, you said a UV light? Any particular kind? Flourescent?

Not really sure of any good sources. They sell them as "germicidal" lamps. Most of them are fluorescent that I've seen. Commercial food places/restaurants often have one in the kitchen, but I'm not sure where you'd get one that didn't cost a fortune.

For verm. I go to a local shop that supplies landscaping companies. If you can find a place like that you should be good to go. It doesn't always look like they sell to the public but I've never had a problem just walking in and picking up a bag. I pay 8 bucks for a GIANT bag of the stuff. Good luck.
