Okay heres the deal
    #5846978 - 07/11/06 01:24 PM (17 years, 6 months ago)

Currently the life were living in is not actually reality. It is a created reality of another life we are living in , within 200 years down the line.

What happened is this. After WW3 when the radiation subsided and society started to form again, Many people began to see the serious flaws of the past, and the problems with how they lived their lives, and this the inherent problems with society as a whole.

However, teaching the lessons of the past in traditional ways was not seen as enough. despite the lessons of the past, we could not save ourselves from our own cruel fate. And the future of the human race was once again in jeapordy.

AS we as a society had advanced technologically, we had the abilitiy to controll the mind in new ways. It was even possible to manipulate the perception of time in ones mind. Furthermore advancments had been made to the point where alternate realities could be expierenced in ones mind.

these realities while lasting minutes, days and even years in the expierencers mind, only lasted a fraction of a second in the time line of reality.

It was not long after societies rebuild that using the aformentioned technology was recomended as a way to ensure that the atrocities of the past would not be re-comitted. Used to help people truly understand the cause and effect that brought society to a booming halt , WW3.

It would be possible to re-create a reality in which the expierencer would expierence an entire life in his mind in only a few moments time. This life would be set back in the times where the actions for the war WW3 were falling into place, and the chain of events past the point of no reaturn.

From this life the expierencer could truly understand the inherent problems in the way life was being lived in those times. How the depletion of resources, and the quest for wealth, and international superiority only divided the human race into rival sects. Leaving millions to die of starvation and disease that could be easily be stopped, prevented and cured if only they were shown respect and kindness from those "above" them.

ANd thus it was set into motion. in the year 2183 the project was set into motion. Every human being one the planet over the age of 13 at that time would undergo the procedure, and expierence that life of the 21st century. And it would become a societal right of passage for every person in the world to have that expierence, on their 13th birthday.

while in the alternate reality, the expierencee would have no recolection of his past life. He would be born again, into the world and expierence it all again. his life would last for many many years up intill the point where the war broke out and he or she became another statistic he or she would be tought once back in reality.

After death in the alternate reality, and the full expierence of life in it, the expierencee would awake just as he was only a moment ago, in the year 2183, still 13. but with the knowledge of an old wise man, an old soul who has seen mankinds most horrible hours, and who after truly expierenceing them could never allow himself to walk down that psth again.

yup

the real question is are we all in a shared reality, and all of you actual people from 2183, or.... are you all a delusion of my mental 13year old mind?

Damn I'm good.  I almost tricked myself just now.  One of the creations is fraudulantly claiming to have created me.  How imaginative.

Were you sober?

If I had been forced to guess, I would have imagined that this idea was the fruit of a DMT trip.

You'd love Philip K Dick's books

especially

Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch
Time Out of Joint
Eye in the Sky
Valis

He had ideas very similar to yours.

Well I think that all of reality is a written book. We as a civilization and universe are just a setting for a book. And when the main character of our book dies, it ends. What if we are just a book about the earth and its death. The book that we are in is just a book written by present day people.
Think about it we write books all the time, and what if those books had there own reality too. This all comes from my experiance with salvia. Every time i take a bong rip of salvia, i goto another universe and all i see are books. Some times im one of the books. Other times im walking on a scafulding and theres books flipping book pages and some of the pages were stuck in time.
When i looked at one of the pages of the books, i saw my actions written down as long as all my friends names. Pretty crazy stuff.

It's basically that age-old philosophical question "How do you know there isn't a demon that's built a false reality around you"? Decartes and British Empiricists explored that kinda stuff.

The real question is: If you found out that what you perceive as "reality" was false, would it matter? (What could you do about it? Would you just stop eating? Having sex? etc...)

So after WW3, the basic destruction of nearly everything, society is rebuilt and produces insanely sophisticated technology by 2183? I call bullshit

If I lived a whole life in this crappy day & age and woke up, having to live another life surrounded by the assholes who subjected me to the first one, I'd be fucking pissed.
