Would it make you uncomfortable if a male friend of yours was crying like a baby about something around you?

Acid doesn't give you truths; it builds machines that push the envelope of perception. Whatever revelations came to me then have dissolved like skywriting. All I really know is that those few years saddled me with a faith in the redemptive potential of the imagination which, however flat, stale and unprofitable the world seems to me now, I cannot for the life of me shake.

If it was about something important...no. Close relatives dying counts as important for example. If it wasn't important, then it would bother me greatly.

I think that would make a woman uncomfortable, too.

I do cry on the inside.  That's why I'm a drunk and a whippit fiend.  But, I do not cry on the outside.  There's a big difference between the two.

Whether you make your sad feelings known or not doesn't change the fact that they exist.  Will you explain to me the difference?

Come on, Randal.  Let it out...go on.  Nobody here is going to judge you.   Crying is nothing to be afraid of.

I cried a little today, for Syd.

Last time fully blown though, was 6 months to this day, when I had to say goodbye to my cat for ever

I agree with you, Randal. But at the same time it's not for every guy to be that way or expected be that way. But a leader shouldn't cry... a leader can't show weakness or noone will follow. When things get tough, a leader gets tougher. This leader being a man or woman. Though, leadership is generally a masculin role.

In the last few years:

I've cried tears of joy after several festivals and events because of meeting people like you.

I've also cried due to not having sex in close to 2 years.

That about covers it.
